As far as Democrats and the legacy media are concerned, anything that contradicts or is inconvenient in any way to their extremist narrative is “misinformation.”
They never expected to have this term used against them.
But a Biden regime official just exposed the “misinformation” Pete Buttigieg is using to cover for one major crisis.
Missing in action
Back on February 3, a Norfolk Southern freight train carrying extremely hazardous materials derailed in East Palestine, Ohio, resulting in a massive fire that leaked deadly chemicals into the atmosphere and local water supply.
Of course, the Biden regime, EPA, and legacy media are claiming that everything is completely safe.
However, video evidence shows otherwise.

Nevertheless, while thousands of East Palestine area residents were evacuated from their homes as the fire burned and spewed dangerous chemicals into the environment, Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg remained silent for nearly two weeks.
It was a full 10 days later before he even acknowledged the situation in a statement that said he was “concerned” about the ordeal.
But Secretary Buttigieg did have more to say about the train derailment the following day – when he blamed the entire ordeal on former President Donald Trump.
As usual, the legacy media dutifully took their marching orders and blamed it all on Trump.
“We’re constrained by law on some areas of rail regulation (like the braking rule withdrawn by the Trump administration in 2018 because of a law passed by Congress in 2015), but we are using the powers we do have to keep people safe,” Buttigieg tweeted.
But according to one top Biden regime official, Secretary Buttigieg is spreading “misinformation.”
Blowing the whistle on the Left’s lies
On Thursday, National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Chair Jennifer Homendy took aim at Buttigieg and other left-wing radicals for “misleading a suffering community.”
Homendy posted a lengthy thread to Twitter in order to give an update on the NTSB’s activities, which she was sure to explain would be very deliberate because “credibility is ESSENTIAL to our lifesaving mission.”
She concluded that thread with two tweets excoriating anyone spreading misinformation about “what happened, didn’t happen, or should’ve happened.”
“[A]nyone speculating about what happened, didn’t happen, or should’ve happened is misleading a suffering community – PLEASE STOP SPREADING MISINFORMATION,” Homendy pleaded.
Specifically, Homendy took issue with Secretary Buttigieg, the Biden regime, and the legacy media for spreading the “FALSE” narrative that the ECP brake rule rolled back under Trump contributed to the incident.
Homendy pointed out that the rule would have not applied to the train that derailed in East Palestine.
“Some are saying the ECP (electronically controlled pneumatic) brake rule, if implemented, would’ve prevented this derailment,” she wrote. “FALSE – here’s why…”
“The ECP braking rule would’ve applied ONLY to HIGH HAZARD FLAMMABLE TRAINS,” she explained. “The train that derailed in East Palestine was a MIXED FREIGHT TRAIN containing only 3 placarded Class 3 flammable liquids cars.”
“This means even if the rule had gone into effect, this train wouldn’t have had ECP brakes,” she concluded.
It’s not surprising that Secretary Buttigieg, the Biden regime, and legacy media lied when they blamed the East Palestine train derailment on Trump.
The Left’s sole political strategy for almost eight years now has been to simply blame anything and everything on Trump and Republicans.
But for once, a Biden regime official is actually the one telling the American people that they are being lied to.
And now the question is how long will it take President Joe Biden and his regime to fire Jennifer Homendy from the National Transportation Safety Board for exposing their lies?
