The radical Left is indoctrinating students in classrooms across the country with their woke ideology.
The American people are the only thing standing in the way of a socialist takeover of the educational system.
But a Christian teacher just got fired for standing up against woke indoctrination.
Tapia wanted to be a “light” for kids
Jessica Tapia became an educator because she wanted to be a “light” for kids in a dark world.
Tapia said her inspiration was her own childhood, which she describes as “very rough.”
But now she is witnessing a different problem that she never would have imagined.
Tapia recently lost her job after standing up against her school district’s radical gender policies.
She was instructed to keep gender transitions from the parents, which was something she couldn’t do because it conflicted with her Christian beliefs.
Tapia said she was torn between obeying the district’s policies and violating her “own beliefs, convictions, and faith.”
Ultimately, she realized that she “couldn’t be a Christian and a teacher.”
This scenario is becoming far too common in the United States, leading many Christian teachers to abandon the field.
Tapia said she “knew immediately…in [her] soul” that the decision she had to make was going to be a hard one.
She decided to stand up for her beliefs
She decided to tell her Superintendent that she couldn’t comply and provided them with a religious exemption explaining her struggle.
Tapia’s statement of faith didn’t change any minds.
Fox News obtained a copy of Tapia’s release informing her that the school would no longer be able to employ her.
The letter reads, “based on your religious beliefs, you cannot be dishonest with parents…If asked about a student’s gender identity by a parent, you cannot refer the parent to a counselor, defer the inquiry, and suggest they speak with a student…or otherwise deflect the parent’s inquiry.”
It went on to inform Tapia that “the district cannot accommodate [her] religious beliefs” that prevented her from “maintaining a student’s gender identity and refraining from disclosing a student’s gender identity” to their parents.
Tapia says this is not what kids need in schools
Tapia explained that, “according to my school district, students have privacy.”
She added that if a student shares their pronoun preferences or expresses themselves as the opposite gender, then teachers “are supposed to keep that info from parents in case the parent doesn’t know.”
She said that she doesn’t believe that kids “should have this ‘privacy’ to where their parents are being left in the dark about some very pertinent information about their well-being.”
“I don’t believe in my faith that that’s how God’s calling us to love by affirming those lies and confusion,” Tapia stated, adding that she believes “that God created man and woman, and you are who he made you to be. And when someone has confusion about that, I believe that’s lies and confusion from the devil.”
She said that all of this goes against her original intentions of being a teacher.
She wanted to be the “light,” not to create more darkness.
“We’re talking about children. This is a very moldable time in life,” Tapia says. They need to have “good role models” and “good teaching.”
