Pop megastar Taylor Swift is one of the biggest celebrities on the planet.
Her widespread fame is creating new problems for her.
And a Deep State official made one scary confession about Taylor Swift.
CIA official makes bold claim about stopping terror attack at Taylor Swift concert
This summer pop megastar Taylor Swift has been touring in Europe with her record-breaking Eras Tour.
But she suffered the scariest situation of her career when Austrian authorities announced they foiled a potential terrorist at one of her concerts in Vienna on August 7.
Swift was performing three straight nights at Ernst Happel Stadium in the Austrian capital.
An 18-year-old Iraqi national and two others were arrested for plotting an ISIS-inspired terrorist attack.
Explosives and detonators were found at the home of one of the suspects.
65,000 fans were expected to pack the stadium with as many as 30,000 outside during the concert.
Swift canceled her Vienna shows but went on with the rest of her tour.
The CIA and other American intelligence agencies were responsible for tipping off Austrian authorities.
CIA Deputy Director David Cohen revealed the agency’s role at the Intelligence and National Security Summit.
“They were plotting to kill a huge number, tens of thousands of people at this concert, I am sure many Americans,” Cohen said. “The Austrians were able to make those arrests because the agency and our partners in the intelligence community provided them information about what this ISIS-connected group was planning to do.”
“I can tell you within my agency, and I’m sure in others, there were people who thought that was a really good day for Langley,” Cohen added. “And not just the Swifties in my workforce.”
Taylor Swift reacts to potential terrorist attack
Swift said that cancellations were “devastating” but that she was grateful that she and her fans were grieving canceled concerts instead of lives.
“Walking onstage in London was a rollercoaster of emotions,” Swift wrote in a social media post. “Having our Vienna shows cancelled was devastating. The reason for the cancellations filled me with a new sense of fear, and a tremendous amount of guilt because so many people had planned on coming to those shows. But I was also so grateful to the authorities because thanks to them, we were grieving concerts and not lives.”
Swift’s concerts sell out stadiums and always attract thousands of fans outside them.
Concerts have been a target for ISIS terrorist attacks in the past.
In November 2015, ISIS attacked a soccer stadium in Paris, France but failed to gain entry to the stadium.
Another ISIS group that night attacked the Bataclan Theater in Paris and slaughtered 90 fans attending an Eagles of Death Metal concert.
A suicide bombing by an Islamic terrorist at a concert by pop star Ariana Grande in Manchester, England in 2017 killed 22 people.
Islamic terrorism has died down in recent years after former President Donald Trump crushed ISIS but the threat is always lurking.
