And a fisherman escaped the jaws of death in one of the craziest deep sea fishing videos you will ever see.
Fishing is a nice way to get away

So it’s good for men to find ways to escape from reality every once in a while.
Some men do this with video games.
Others escape the world by becoming honed in on a football game.
But some go to the wild to get away from society.
Between hunting and fishing, there are tons of opportunities to escape.
When you go fishing, you are usually looking for a good and peaceful time.
But people seem to forget that fishing can turn deadly in an instant.
If you have watched Jaws, then you understand that there are some things lurking in the water that can ruin your fishing experience.
A marlin almost took a life
In fact, a study released by the FISH Safety Foundation in 2022 predicted that 100,000 people die annually from fishing alone.
And one guy almost became a statistical death on a recent deep sea marlin fishing trip.
For those deep sea enthusiasts, nothing beats the reel spinning from a marlin being hooked.
When you start to see the fin of the marlin get near the surface of the water, you know you are about to be in for a show.
As the marlin is being reeled in, you can expect it to jump out of the water with its fin and spear-like snout flying in the wind.
But if that snout comes flying in on the boat, people can get seriously hurt and even die.
Earlier this week, a video of a group of guys enjoying some deep sea fishing while on a boat called Jubilee went viral on social media.
One of the guys was reeling in a marlin when it jumped out of the water and right into the boat.
Needless to say, there wasn’t much jubilee and celebration going on after the massive catch nearly impaled one guy on the boat with its snout.

The fish can be seen coming inches away from sticking the guy and possibly killing him on the spot.
Thankfully, no one was hurt.
But this serves as a reminder to make sure you keep your head on a swivel while deep sea fishing.
