The anticipation surrounding the 2024 Presidential election is growing.
Joe Biden is hoping to take on Donald Trump for a second time.
But a new set of poll numbers show this one GOP dream ticket would spell the end of the line for Joe Biden.
2024 is shaping up
President Joe Biden will most likely be the Democrat Party’s Presidential candidate in 2024.
On the Republican side of the aisle, all signs point to the Primary being a two-man race between former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Some GOP insiders worry that a Primary battle between Trump and DeSantis could damage the nominee and lead to four more years of a Biden White House.
That fear is leading to calls for a Trump/DeSantis 2024 “unity” ticket.
Trump/DeSantis vs. Biden/Harris
Rasmussen Reports just released a new survey showing how a Trump/DeSantis ticket would stack up against Biden and Harris.
And the results are a nightmare for Democrats.
According to Rasmussen, if the election were held today, Trump/DeSantis would defeat Biden/Harris 51-43.
“Trump-DeSantis wins with women, Independents, Hispanics, college grads, and does historically well with African Americans,” President of Political Media Inc. Larry Ward said. “Trump-DeSantis also wins the national popular vote, which would be a first for Republicans in 20 years. Trump does well head-to-head against Biden, but adding DeSantis to the ticket is powerful.”
We the People Convention is one of the organizations calling for a “DonRon” ticket in 2024.
“A Trump/DeSantis Unity Ticket not only brings together Republican voters who may support one or the other, but also brings 5% more Independent voters, 4% more men, and increases in support among every age group and every ethnicity by between 2% and 4%,” We the People Convention President Tom Zawistowski said. “It is clearly the winning combination that the majority of Americans want for 2024.”
Zawistowski added that the Trump/DeSantis ticket also polls well in swing states.
Fantasy or reality?
But could this dream ticket turn into a reality?
DeSantis has been busy signing anti-woke legislation into law and has not started a campaign or even announced if there will be one.
However, that hasn’t stopped Trump from unleashing a barrage of virtually constant attacks against DeSantis.
Trump has gone as far as parroting President Biden’s attacks against DeSantis.
He also sided with Disney and Anheuser-Busch, the two woke corporations DeSantis has publicly fought against.
With so much animosity coming from one side, would DeSantis accept an offer to be Trump’s running mate?
And would Trump be able to reverse course and start talking up DeSantis, acknowledging that his chances are best with him by his side?
A unity ticket would be the GOP’s best chance to evict Biden from the White House, but ego may keep that dream from ever becoming a reality.
