It’s never a good idea for politicians to invoke the name of Germany’s Adolph Hitler.
Generally speaking, the first person in an argument to invoke Hitler’s name loses because it means their positions are so intellectually bankrupt that the last resort is comparing their opponents to the Nazi regime.
And now Adam Schiff made one head-turning comment about Hitler.
Democrats and the media are losing their minds over Donald Trump calling his political opponents “vermin” in a post on Truth Social.
“In honor of our great Veterans on Veterans Day, we pledge to you that we will root out the Communists, Marxists, Fascists, and Radical Left Thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our Country, lie, steal, and cheat on Elections, and will do anything possible, whether legally or illegally, to destroy America, and the American Dream. The threat from outside forces is far less sinister, dangerous, and grave, than the threat from within. Despite the hatred and anger of the Radical Left Lunatics who want to destroy our Country, we will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump wrote.
For seven years, the Left smeared Trump and his voters as domestic terrorists, fascists, white supremacists, and enemies of democracy.
Now Trump’s so-called “dehumanizing” language is of grave concern.
During an interview with former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on her MSNBC show, Schiff praised former Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney for condemning Trump’s rhetoric and launching one of her tired broadsides against Republicans who refused to take the media’s bait and attack the former President.
“It’s fear, and it’s cowardice. These elected officials, people that I served in Congress, who are Republicans behind Trump, they know exactly what he is. How can you listen to testimony of Georgia, that the President sought to remain in power, notwithstanding having lost, and support someone like that? But they are afraid. They saw Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, they stood up for their principles, they exposed the danger and were forced out of Congress,” Schiff stated.
Schiff then fed the MSNBC audience the outrage porn that it tunes in for by attacking Trump as a modern day “Hitler and Mussolini.”
“For Liz and Adam, there was something more important than continuing to serve in Congress. It was the Constitution, it was their own character. But for all too many, those things don’t matter quite so much as holding their office or maybe getting a better office one day. So it’s fear and cowardice, and it’s craven, and it’s putting the country at grave risk to even contemplate electing someone who will cling to power the way that Donald Trump tried, who embraces the language of dictators, tries to dehumanize the opposition, calling them vermin, just like Hitler and Mussolini,” Schiff stated.
The press is trying to gin up a fake scandal about Trump’s use of the word “vermin” because they see polls showing him defeating Biden.
With their candidate trailing Trump, the press is now trying to recreate the dynamic from 2017 to 2021 where the media created such a sense of hysteria among suburban voters that they went for Biden to restore their own mental sanity.
