The Cuban Missile Crisis was undoubtedly one of the most terrifying moments of the Cold War and marked the closest point that the United States came to nuclear war with the Soviet Union.
Although the Soviet Union is in the ash heaps of history, Cuba still suffers under communist control to this day, much to the detriment of its freedom-starved population.
And Barack Obama is embarrassed after Cuba entered into this one terrifying agreement.
Years of Obama and Biden placating America’s enemies are starting to backfire
One of Barack Obama’s most controversial moves as President was his failed attempts to warm up to communist Cuba.
Instead of adopting Theodore Roosevelt’s maxim of “speak softly and carry a big stick,” the Obama administration chose to befriend the tyrannical Castro regime.
Not only did Barack Obama, and eventually Joe Biden, fail to stand up to Cuba, but they also failed to stand up to other hostile nations like Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran.
Just this week, the Wall Street Journal dropped a bombshell report, indicating that Cuba is working with hostile forces to spy on the United States.
“Officials familiar with the matter said that China has agreed to pay cash-strapped Cuba several billion dollars to allow it to build the eavesdropping station and that the two countries had reached an agreement in principle,” the Wall Street Journal reported. “Officials declined to provide more details about the proposed location of the listening station or whether construction had begun.”
These claims come just months after the Biden administration announced a number of measures to appease the Cuban regime, such as rules making it easier to send American money to Cuba and reparations for enemies of the regime.
The most egregious policy set forth by the Biden administration was an agreement that allows Cuban special agents to tour U.S. Coast Guard facilities.
This move baffled Republicans and prompted Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) to send a letter to Joe Biden accusing him of “extending an invitation to Cuban intelligence operatives into sensitive national security facilities in order to share with them our nation’s coastal and maritime security protocols is an egregious dereliction of duty.”
“That betrays one of the most fundamental tenets of the oath you have sworn, to protect America from foreign enemies,” Rubio wrote. “You must cancel this visit immediately, and explain to the American people how this was allowed to happen on your watch.”

Cuba poses a significant threat to the United States as a direct result of the appeasement policy set forth by Barack Obama.
Of course, none of this nonsense would have happened under Donald Trump, who made significant foreign policy gains when it came to holding back America’s enemies.
Joe Biden continues to prove that his foreign policy mantra is “America last.”
