Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII in a thrilling fashion earlier this year.

The Chiefs are hoping to make history this season as the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row.

But Chiefs fans were floored after this humiliating typo hit the fan.

Sports fans could not believe their eyes after this typo went viral

Last February, sports fans witnessed one of the most exciting Super Bowls in recent memory.

After putting up a tough fight for nearly five entire quarters of football, the Chiefs won in overtime and secured their second Super Bowl victory in a row.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes put on one of his most memorable performances and proved that he belongs on the Mount Rushmore of football greats.

Many Chiefs fans have already started to look towards next season and hope to become the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row.

However, the Chiefs team held their long-awaited ring ceremony last week.

During the ceremony, the Kansas City Chiefs shared a post about their rings and showed fans the exquisite details of their new bling.

The inside of the ring features an etching of the scores of every playoff game leading up to the Super Bowl.

But there was one major typo.

On the first line, the ring shows that the Kansas City Chiefs beat the seven-seed Miami Dolphins by a score of 26-7.

But there is a major problem with this etching.

As fans pointed out, the Miami Dolphins were a six seed last season.

This typo quickly gained the attention of football fans everywhere, who took to X to point out this humiliating error.

One X user named @GoCoogs85 wrote that “the @Chiefs really gave all their players rings with a typo….Miami was a 6 seed, not a 7. Oof.”

Another X user named @codybtapp hilariously wrote that “a typo in a ring that costs this much is exactly the kind of mistake I would make and would never stop thinking of for the rest of my life.”

The Kansas City Chiefs held their ring ceremony without a hiccup, with scenes from the ceremony going viral across the internet.

All of the Chiefs greats were in attendance.

However, Travis Kelce’s mega-star girlfriend, Taylor Swift, could not make it due to her having a show in England at the time.

The Chiefs have a chance to make football history this season

Regardless of the alleged typos on their recently received Super Bowl rings, the Chiefs have a chance to shatter the record books this upcoming season.

Another Super Bowl victory would make them the first NFL to win three Super Bowls in a row.

But this achievement is far from guaranteed.

Every team craves a Super Bowl victory this year and the AFC is loaded with great teams.

If the Chiefs hope to secure another Super Bowl victory, it means winning their competitive division and beating other AFC hot shots like the Bengals, Ravens, and Bills.
