Disney just got the one piece of news they feared the most

A planned American Heartland theme park in this state will be bigger than Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

It could seriously threaten Disney’s dominance in the theme park arena.

And Disney just got the one piece of news they feared the most.

It’s been a very bad year for the Walt Disney Company.

The poster child for ‘go woke, go broke’

Disney, the once proud and respected company focused on making children happy and bringing families together, has fallen on hard times.

Their movies, now made with the goal of spreading leftist ideology instead of entertainment, are losing billions of dollars.

Meanwhile, their theme parks are the emptiest they’ve been in years, and their stock has crashed.

Yet, Disney executives continue to kneel at the altar of wokeism and cater to the demands of the radical Left.

The only thing keeping the company afloat is the fact they are the biggest mouse in the house.

But that could be changing.

And the poster child for ‘go woke, go broke’ could soon be facing major competition in the theme park category.

Distinctly American

Plans for a massive $2 billion theme park, bigger than Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom, were recently revealed.

The huge American Heartland Theme Park and Resort will be located in Oklahoma.

Plans for the American Heartland theme park were proposed for a 1,000-acre property in northeast Oklahoma, just west of Grand Lake on Route 66.

The proposed tourist attraction will include a 125-acre theme park and a 300-room hotel with an indoor water park.

According to its developers, the new theme park will have the “nostalgic charm of a traditional amusement park.”

So while Disney continues to go further to the Left, the new American Heartland theme park will return to a more traditional, pro-family amusement park.

The new park will feature six “distinctly American” lands: Great Plains, Bayou Bay, Big Timber Falls, Stony Point Harbor, Liberty Village, and Electropolis.

Former Disney leaders have joined this project

The first phase of the project is a 320-acre Three Ponies RV Park and Campground, which is scheduled to open in the spring of 2025.

As planned, the campground will be the largest campground in the central United States and will accommodate 750 RVs and have 300 cabins with full amenities.

The American Heartland Theme Park and Resort itself is expected to open sometime in 2026.

Of great interest to most observers is the fact that the amusement park’s design team is made up of more than 20 former Disneypark builders and Walt Disney “Imagineers.”

“The 1,000-acre development will feature the 125-acre American Heartland theme park, which is comparable to the size of Magic Kingdom Theme Park and Disneyland Park,” the press release announcing the park stated. “The park will feature an Americana-themed environment with a variety of entertaining rides, live shows, family attractions, waterways as well as restaurant-quality food and beverage offerings. The theme park and resort are scheduled to open in fall of 2026.”

American Heartland founder and chief creative officer, Gene Bicknell, said that “American Heartland will be a place families can come together to create lasting memories, experience joy, laughter, imagination and wonder.”

“There is so much to celebrate about our country: its landscapes, its cultures and most importantly, its people,” he continued. “No matter where you’re from, you’ll feel right at home at American Heartland.”

American Heartland CEO Larry Wilhite said that “at the crossroads of the heartland, Oklahoma is an attractive location for a family entertainment destination. The state’s business-friendly approach and innovative partnership efforts have helped make this possible. We look forward to bringing unforgettable generational experiences to Oklahoma.”

It is time Disney refocused its efforts on the values that once made it the leader in family entertainment, or else Oklahoma will become the new top destination for families.
