Sound of Freedom is the biggest financial success story out of the movie industry in 2023.
This film, which exposed the horrors of international child sex trafficking rings, struck a chord with audiences across the country.
And Donald Trump had one jaw-dropping reaction to watching Sound of Freedom.
Sound of Freedom stars Jim Caviezel – who played Jesus in the 2004 smash hit The Passion of the Christ – and Tim Ballard, the former Department of Homeland Security agent who quit his job to launch Operation Underground Railroad and free hundreds of children from child traffickers, attended Trump’s screening of the movie at his golf club in New Jersey.
This film tells the story of Ballard’s initial mission in South America, where he and his team rescued 55 children from pedophiles.
Despite having no marketing budget and critics smearing this true story as a QAnon conspiracy theory, Sound of Freedom has now earned over $100 million against a $14 million budget.
Donald Trump invited the cast and production team to a screening of the film at his Bedminster country club.
Trump was both moved and disturbed by the film’s depiction of child trafficking.
The 45th President also praised the film for bringing awareness to one of the great evils of modern time.
“I hope you enjoyed it. It’s something I’m not sure if you’re supposed to enjoy or learn — it’s a combination. But that was a great movie,” Trump began. “Now I understand why it’s doing so well.”
Trump sat next to Caviezel during the film and told the actor that “it was an honor getting to know you.”
“I hope everyone had a fantastic time. It’s an incredible inspiration,” Trump told the crowd.
Even getting this movie released took a minor miracle.
Sound of Freedom was filmed in 2018, but when Disney bought 20th Century Fox in 2019, the House of Mouse shelved the film.
Disney’s last eight movies lost over $1 billion, as Americans are fed up with the company promoting transgenderism in their films, TV shows, and theme parks.
The latest Indiana Jones film that Disney released is one of the biggest box office bombs in recent history.
Disney is now engaged in company-wide layoffs and cost cutting.
But Disney did have one bona fide hit on their hands – and that was Sound of Freedom.
However, it does not look like Disney is ready to learn its lesson and produce more films that appeal to conservatives or promote messages that all Americans can get behind.
Instead, Disney was embarrassed by Sound of Freedom and refused to release the movie for four years.
The film only saw the light of day because the producers bought the rights back from Disney.
And now they are the ones reaping the rewards.
