The most entertaining part of the past few weeks are the memes of Kamala Harris.

But nothing hit home as well as this one AI generated voiceover of an original campaign message.

And Gavin Newsom just embarrassed himself by throwing a fit over a parody of Kamala Harris.

“I was selected because I’m the ultimate diversity hire”

The best part about Kamala Harris being the Democrat nominee for President is without a doubt the memes on social media.

It’s impossible to ignore the endless examples of Vice President Harris embarrassing herself and sometimes getting some help along the way.

But nothing can compare to the latest parody campaign ad created by a YouTuber called Mr. Reagan.

The parody takes an existing Kamala Harris video and uses an AI voice generator to change the content of her speech.

It starts with “Kamala” telling viewers that she is “your Democrat candidate for President because Joe Biden finally exposed his senility . . . .thanks Joe.”

“I was selected because I’m the ultimate diversity hire. I’m both a woman and a person of color. So, if you criticize anything I say, you’re both sexist and racist,” it continues.

It didn’t take long for this parody to go viral, but it got a little help from one famous person.

“I’ll be signing a bill in a matter of weeks” to ban fun videos online

The video was posted on July 26, and within hours it had reached millions of users on X.

That’s when Elon Musk took notice and joined in on the fun.

“This is amazing,” he wrote with a laughing emoji alongside the video, which garnered over 130 million views.

Musk’s antics then caught the attention of California Governor Gavin Newsom.

“Manipulating a voice in an ‘ad’ like this one should be illegal. I’ll be signing a bill in a matter of weeks to make sure it is,” Newsom wrote.

Musk quickly hit back by saying that he “checked with the renowned world authority, Professor Suggon Deeznutz, and he said parody is legal in America.”

Musk went on to joke that Newsom should “create an endowed chair” at the University of California for the fake professor.

Now the press and the Kamala Harris campaign are losing their minds.

“It’s very obvious that it’s a parody”

“’Manipulated lies’: Elon Musk intentionally shares fake video of Kamala Harris, violating own rules,” Salon reported.

“A parody ad shared by Elon Musk clones Kamala Harris’s voice, raising concerns,” the Associated Press wrote.

A spokesperson for the Harris campaign, Mia Ehrenberg, provided a comment to the AP.

“We believe the American people want the real freedom, opportunity, and security Vice President Harris is offering; not the fake, manipulated lies of Elon Musk and Donald Trump,” she said.

AP also contacted AI expert, Hany Farid, to discuss the video.

“The AI-generated voice is very good. Even though most people won’t believe it is Vice President Harris’ voice, the video is that much more powerful when the words are in her voice,” he said.

The creator, Chris Kohls, addressed  the concerns in a video following the “nuclear” post.

“I mean it’s very obvious that it’s a parody, I wrote the word PARODY in all caps just so there would be no confusion,” he said.
