Republicans may actually go there.

After months of hemming and hawing, it’s getting down to crunch time.

And Jim Jordan dropped one major impeachment bombshell.

IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler’s testimony about the political interference by the Justice Department in the Hunter Biden investigation reignited calls for Republicans to impeach Attorney General Merrick Garland.

Shapley and Ziegler revealed how the Justice Department blocked Hunter Biden from facing serious felony charges and thwarted any attempts by investigators to pursue leads that could have implicated his father.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan spoke on this matter with Fox News Channel’s Maria Bartiromo.

Jordan noted that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy already said Republicans were free to pursue that course of action.

“This is the question for the full conference,” Jordan insisted. “But the Speaker has been very clear. Speaker McCarthy has said if we have to go to an impeachment inquiry, we will, in fact, do that.”

Jordan cited the mounting scandals against Garland as well as Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley releasing the FBI form FD-1023, where a credible confidential human source outlined serious allegations that the founder of Burisma paid Joe Biden a $10 million bribe as evidence Republicans may eventually have to impeach him.

“It sure looks like it now,” Jordan said. “Based on the evidence that keeps piling up, based on what Senator Grassley released this week with the form, what we heard from the whistleblowers this past week, and the conflicting statements from the Justice Department, it sure looks like we’re moving in that direction at a pretty quick pace.

“One thing I do know is if you head down this road, it completely consumes Congress,” Jordan continued. “But if that’s where we need to go because that’s what the facts say, and that’s what our Constitutional duty is, then we will, of course, move in that direction.”

Garland is Joe Biden’s most controversial Cabinet pick.

As Attorney General, Garland appointed Democrat partisan Jack Smith to arrest and prosecute Donald Trump.

Garland’s Justice Department also colluded with a left-wing school board group to smear parents, who protested mask mandates and Critical Race Theory, as domestic terrorists.

On Garland’s watch, the FBI also ran the largest manhunt in history to track down every last Trump supporter who even gazed at the Capitol on January 6, yet treated Black Lives Matter rioters with kid gloves and dropped as many charges as possible.

After the Biden bribery allegation bombshells, there may be a critical mass forming in the GOP to impeach Garland and hold him accountable for weaponizing the government against Donald Trump and his supporters.
