For the last two years, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel sponsored the LA Bowl, which takes place at the brand-new SoFi stadium in Inglewood, California.
However, it looks like Kimmel will no longer be the sponsor for this bowl game after the LA Bowl announced that former NFL Tight End, Rob Gronkowski, will sponsor this season’s game.
On Saturday, the Hollywood Reporter wrote that “former NFL star Rob Gronkowski is taking over the naming rights to the LA Bowl, the college football gown game owned and operated by SoFi Stadium.”
The report added that “Gronkowski is taking over the naming rights from ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, who had hosted the game for the past two years. The game used to be called the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl.”
In response to this exciting development, Gronkowski said “football has brought me so many incredible opportunities, and I’m thrilled to return to college football as the host of my very own bowl game.”
He added that “we are going to light up college football bowl season. This game is going to be epic, so I better see everyone at the LA Bowl Hosted by Gronk at SoFi Stadium on Dec. 16!”
The LA Bowl’s previous host, Jimmy Kimmel, treated it like his television program and featured a number of bizarre gags.
As of now, it is unclear why Kimmel is no longer hosting the LA Bowl.
However, many believe it could be due to his plummeting ratings in recent years.
Kimmel is among the most far-Left television hosts in the country, frequently trashing Donald Trump and his supporters.
