Ever since Joe Biden was elected, the United States has seen a massive influx of illegal aliens crossing the border.
But now one of the most important people responsible for securing the border is publicly saying that Biden’s policies are failing.
And Biden was furious when this department head just exposed his administration’s immigration policy failures.
Border patrol chief testifies under oath about Biden’s border policies
On July 28, Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz testified under oath about the current issue with illegals crossing the U.S. border.
The testimony came from a recorded deposition as a result of a lawsuit filed by Florida’s Attorney General Ashley Moody.
Moody filed against the Department of Homeland Security and other border agencies, suing the Biden administration for ignoring federal immigration requirements.
During the deposition, Raul Ortiz said that Biden’s policies have “no consequences” for illegals, and that’s what’s to blame for the insane surge of illegal aliens coming into the country.
Ortiz has over 31 years of experience in law enforcement and firmly believes that the immigration crisis will continue to get worse at an exponential rate.
He stated that if illegal aliens are told they could be released, then yes, there will most certainly be an increase in illegal crossings.
An attorney during the deposition asked Ortiz about a memo from 2021 that discussed Biden’s immigration policies.
They asked Ortiz if he thought the memo indicated that illegal aliens assumed they’d be allowed to enter and stay in the United States.
Under oath, Ortiz responded to the lawyer with a definitive “yes.”
This document is credited for helping to fuel the misconception that illegal aliens are more than welcome to pour into the country without following the proper procedures.
According to Ortiz the country is less safe
The Moody lawsuit claims that Biden’s “Alternatives to Detention” document released in November 2021 is also to blame.
In the document, it notes that the Alternatives to Detention program should be “used sparingly” and only when justified to address issues like overcrowding.
But Biden and his administration are not following the rule of law and federal laws established under the Immigration and Nationality Act.
The act requires officials to detain illegal aliens at the border and send them back to their home countries.
Since this law isn’t being followed, the result is a massive influx of illegals simply walking across our borders and right into the country.
During the deposition, Ortiz agreed that an unprecedented number of people have come into the U.S. illegally this year.
He also agreed that currently, these policies are making it “less safe for Americans and aliens alike.”
Even when our nation’s Border Patrol Chief testifies under oath about these dangers, the current administration continues to ignore the warnings.
Encounters with Border Patrol have already reached historic numbers this year with a surge of 2 million illegals so far, which is already higher than last year’s historic total of 1.7 million.
If our own President won’t protect his citizens from illegal aliens pouring over our borders, then it’s time to elect someone who will.
