The Biden administration has been accused of planning to ban a number of products in the name of climate change.
They’ve forcefully denied it.
But Joe Biden’s climate czar just got caught pushing a ban on this favorite household appliance.
It’s no secret that the Biden administration has close ties to some of the most radical and extreme groups in the country.
And it’s no secret Joe Biden has been pushing an extreme climate change energy policy.
But when it comes to taking one drastic action, the Biden administration claims it’s just not true.
“Not only a threat to climate action but also to human health”
Before Communist Chinese spy balloons and UFOs over Alaska and Michigan, there was the gas stove scandal.
Word began leaking out that Joe Biden and the Democrats were getting set to ban gas stoves.
The outrage was swift.
Of course, Biden denied it was true even as some leading Democrats began talking about the issue and attacking gas stoves.
Gas stoves were blamed on everything from global warming to lung problems to pollution to birth defects.
Top Democrats made the talk show rounds and bemoaned the evils of gas stoves.
Meanwhile, sane Americans rallied and in one loud voice said “No!”
The group seemingly leading the charge is the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), a radical left-wing environmental group pushing gas stove bans.
In fact, on their own website it states that gas stoves are “not only a threat to climate action but also to human health.”
That is where the trouble started for the Biden administration.
No agenda or talking points available
White House climate czar Ali Zaidi, who also happens to serve as an assistant to President Biden, privately met with three officials from the Colorado-based RMI.
According to Fox News Digital, “Zaidi met with Jules Kortenhorst, RMI’s CEO at the time; John Coequyt, RMI’s government affairs director; and Sarah Ladislaw, RMI’s former managing director and U.S. program leader, on March 17, 2022, in the West Wing of the White House, according to visitor logs reviewed by Fox News Digital.”
The three RMI officials have long and detailed records advocating for climate policies that would wean the United States off of fossil fuels.
There was no written agenda or any list of talking points for this meeting.
The White House immediately went on defense about the meeting, which further raised eyebrows.
“This meeting was about adding to President Biden’s historic record of bringing more manufacturing jobs back to America and lowering energy costs, not a debunked conspiracy theory,” White House spokesperson Abdullah Hasan told Fox News Digital.
A Biden administration memo
The “debunked conspiracy theory” the White House is referring to is their claim that the Biden administration never pushed for the ban on gas stoves.
But according to an internal memo obtained by Fox News Digital, the Biden administration seriously considered banning natural gas-powered stoves before it received widespread criticism from the American people.
In the memo dated October 25, 2022, Richard Trumka Jr., President Biden’s appointee to serve on the five-person Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), wrote that there was sufficient evidence for the agency to move forward with a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPR) to ban gas stoves in the near future.
Ironically, Trumka’s memo was even titled, “NPR Proposing Ban on Gas Stoves (Indoor Air Quality).”
Trumka wrote, “the need for gas stove regulation has reached a boiling point,” the CPSC commissioner wrote in the October memo. “CPSC has the responsibility to ban consumer products that emit hazardous substances, particularly, when those emissions harm children, under the Federal Hazardous Substances Act.”
Where there’s smoke – there’s fire.
And on banning gas stoves, there is now no doubt Biden wanted to do so.
Even more telling is that in a number of Democrat-run cities and towns, gas stave bans have already started.
