Kamala Harris could get $5 million in taxpayer money if this radical San Francisco plan goes through

The madness never ends.

Leftists throw tax dollars like they’re trying to make it rain as hard as it did in California recently.

But Kamala Harris could get $5 million in taxpayer money if this radical San Francisco plan goes through.

Reparations for slavery is the latest fad.

There are so many problems with the idea that it’s almost impossible to list them all.

And this is especially true in states that didn’t even have slavery but still are working on reparations.

No slavery, but rather “policies explicitly created to subjugate Black people”

San Francisco’s much talked about Reparations Committee has come up with its plan for paying each black longtime resident $5 million.

They also recommend granting total debt forgiveness for all blacks due to decades of “systematic repression” faced by the local black San Francisco community.

The San Francisco African American Reparations Advisory Committee released its draft report to address reparations.

But even they admit the reparations are not actually for slavery since California was never a slave state.

Instead they say the taxpayer funded reparations are “to address the public policies explicitly created to subjugate black people in San Francisco by upholding and expanding the intent and legacy of chattel slavery.”

That’s right, they are going to pay each black resident $5 million, erase all debts, and even pay $97,000 per year for 250 years to low-income blacks because everything is racist.

The draft states, “While neither San Francisco, nor California, formally adopted the institution of chattel slavery, the tenets of segregation, white supremacy and systematic repression and exclusion of black people were codified through legal and extralegal actions, social codes, and judicial enforcement.”

Descendants of those blacks incarcerated by the failed War on Drugs count too

But the reparations committee went even further.

They are making not just black residents eligible based on other criteria since there are no direct descendants of California slaves.

To be eligible for the program, applicants must be 18 years old and have identified as black or African American on public documents for at least 10 years.

They must also prove at least two of eight additional criteria, choosing from a list that includes such things as, “Born in San Francisco between 1940 and 1996 and has proof of residency in San Francisco for at least 13 years,” and/or, “Personally, or the direct descendant of someone, incarcerated by the failed War on Drugs.”

This criteria brings up the question of why Asians, Hispanics, whites, and any other racial groups who are descendants of someone incarcerated by the War on Drugs are not eligible for payments.

While there is no doubt racism has existed in the United States – and the rest of the world – a real argument could be made that in California’s early days the most abused group was Asians, not blacks.

One could even make a strong argument that the Irish were in many ways treated just as poorly.

Kamala Harris is a descendant of slave owners

For example, many Irish were held as slaves or indentured servants.

In fact, one of the most brutal and ruthless owners of Irish immigrants was Kamala Harris’ grandfather.

Entire books have been written on just how savagely he treated his slaves and indentured servants.

Yet under the proposed reparations plan Kamala Harris would be eligible for the $5 million because she claims to be black.

The plan has not yet been approved by the city, but it shows just how crazy things are getting.

What it doesn’t show is – who is going to pay for all of this?
