The cries for Vice President Kamala Harris to hold a press conference or conduct a major televised interview are getting louder by the day.

But somehow Kamala continues to dodge and duck the spotlight while simultaneously conducting a Presidential campaign.

And Kamala Harris might be hiding from the mainstream media for this one crucially important reason.

Campaign is worried about the “thorny details” of Kamala’s economic plan

According to several people familiar with discussions between Kamala Harris’ campaign advisers, there’s a lot of concern about publicly releasing the “thorny details” of their new plan for the economy.

The sources told the Wall Street Journal that they’re worried those details could backfire on the campaign.

Meanwhile, the media is expecting Kamala to deliver remarks soon about the newly devised economic plan.

That plan will allegedly fix the Biden-Harris administration’s approach to handling things like inflation and high interest rates.

However, Kamala is not expected to take any questions and she hasn’t delivered an unscripted press conference since she entered the race.

According to a Financial Times and University of Michigan Ross School of Business poll, just one in four voters rated the Biden-Harris economy as “excellent” or “good.”

Advisers told the Journal that Kamala’s plan is “unlikely” to break with Biden in terms of substance.

This fact highlights a serious problem that the Democrat candidate faces now that she’s at the top of the ticket.

“Instead, they expect small shifts in emphasis that highlight her resume and priorities” and will mostly hide specific details of her agenda.

This is being done “amid concerns from some Democrats that releasing a lengthy plan could open the Vice President up to criticism from Republicans and members of her party,” the Journal reported.

The report stated that the framework will outline broad policy areas that Kamala supports “while avoiding many of the thorny details. Aides say they want her agenda to provide a contrast with Trump without reading like a think tank white paper.”

Vague details may mean trouble ahead

While Kamala Harris has reignited excitement from her party, allies are worried about her doing anything that could slow that wave of enthusiasm down.

This includes her holding long interviews with major media outlets.

Kamala has not had a media television interview since June 24, 2024, and her last solo press conference was held eight months ago on December 2, 2023.

Some say that she’s operating a “basement” media strategy to help her deal with inter-party policy debates.

A few campaign aides who chose to remain anonymous have allegedly flip-flopped on several of Kamala’s far-Left policies like fracking and socialized medicine.

It’s important to note that a recent MRC poll showed that 70% of registered Democrats who voted for Joe Biden in 2020 are mostly in the dark about Kamala’s radical positions.

It seems that Kamala’s silence is potentially a harbinger of things to come.
