Kamala Harris stole another Trump policy and the press just went along with it

The Harris campaign has been very slow to announce its agenda and policy ideas.

The official campaign website doesn’t even have any policy proposals on it.

But Kamala Harris stole another Trump policy and the press just went along with it.

The Diet Mountain Dew Effect

When Donald Trump announced that J.D. Vance was his running mate, the press immediately said in unison that he was “weird.”

Reporters said it was weird that his favorite drink was Diet Mountain Dew.

“Who drinks that?” one reporter asked.

Salon Magazine ran a headline that asked, Why is J.D. Vance being so weird about Mountain Dew?

But when they found out that Harris’ Vice-Presidential choice also drinks Diet Mountain Dew, they said it was folksy.

When Donald Trump announced that he was opposed to taxes on tips, the liberal online publication Axios said that “many of these workers make so little that they will not come close to paying federal income tax under current law and thus would not benefit at all from Trump’s proposal.”

The New York Times said it was just Trump just making stuff up.

Then Kamala Harris said she came up with the idea when talking to Nevada voters in the hospitality industry.

She ignored the fact that she cast the tie-breaking vote on a bill that taxed tips, as the Inflation Reduction Act only passed due to her vote.

The press did not bring this up and many stories did not give credit to Trump for raising the issue in the first place.

Harris Steals Another Trump Idea

Now Harris is claiming another Trump idea.

CNN reported that “Vice President Kamala Harris vowed to increase the child tax credit for parents and establish a newborn tax credit of up to $6,000 if elected President in 2024 — just days after former President Donald Trump’s running mate J.D. Vance similarly suggested a child tax credit expansion.”

When Vance brought up the idea, CBS news reported that “we could easily be talking about $2 to $3 trillion in additional borrowing over the next decade,” before adding “that’s a tremendous amount of money.”

CBS attacked Vance for not knowing the details of the proposal.

But then Harris stole the idea.

NPR wrote that “Harris wants to give families a big tax break for a new baby.”

There is a major difference between Trump and Harris when it comes to policy.

Harris is pushing for tax increases and Trump is pushing for tax cuts.
