Former Chief of Staff to President Barack Obama, Rahm Emanuel, is known for famously saying that “you never want a serious crisis to go to waste.”
For more than two years now, the Biden administration has lived by that dubious motto.
And Karine Jean-Pierre just declared that this is the only way to stop school shootings.
Democrats cry wolf
Last week, tragedy struck when a 28-year-old transgender walked into a Christian elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee, and killed six people – including three young students.
Democrats and their public relations wing in Big Media spent the past week blaming Republicans for the mass murder, citing laws in Red states that protect children from gender-altering medical operations and puberty blockers.
However, before the co-called “gender identity” of the murderer was revealed, President Joe Biden, Democrats, and the corporate-controlled press wasted no time rushing out in front of the camera and calling for more failed gun bans.
Of course, this is the same tired and inaccurate talking points Democrats trot out after every shooting in the United States.
Safe School Act
Meanwhile, Republicans have been trying to start a discussion on policies that could actually protect students, like arming firearm-trained teachers in the classroom, adding more security layers and guards, and even reimagining school blueprints to do away with impediments trapping kids inside the same room with an active shooter.
Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about the GOP’s Safe School Act during a White House press briefing.

According to Jean-Pierre, these common sense measures are non-starters for President Joe Biden.
Instead, President Biden called for more of the same types of policies that haven’t done a thing to curb school shootings.
“We have done two dozen executive orders in the past two years – this President has – to do everything that he can to protect communities and our kids,” Jean-Pierre said. “And as we know, we can’t do it alone […] We need Congress to act. And the things that we know are very popular that will actually assist or help prevent gun violence is banning assault weapons […] And this is something that Republicans won’t move on.”
More of the same from the White House
Jean-Pierre said that banning firearms “prevents gun violence.”
However, she cited Joe Biden’s two dozen executive orders, even though violent crime rates are surging and school shootings continue to happen.
Then she said Congress needs to act.
Republicans have introduced legislation in the Safe School Act that would provide schools with more money for security checkpoints and equipment and allow schools to hire off-duty officers as security.
But Democrats are avoiding the Safe School Act because protecting kids in schools would take away the Left’s number one tool they weaponize in their never-ending efforts to end the Second Amendment.
