Kevin McCarthy hit back at a PBS reporter with a reality check she never saw coming

Mindlessly working for the Left seems to be the only requirement to be a self-proclaimed “journalist” these days.

But one left-wing reporter just got schooled by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

And Kevin McCarthy hit back at a PBS reporter with a reality check she never saw coming.

Long before he was elected Speaker of the House, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was champing at the bit to kick two dirty Democrats off the House Intelligence Committee.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) used his position as Chair of the House Intel Committee and access to classified information provided to the Committee to repeatedly lie to the American people as he led virtually all of Democrats’ witch hunts against Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, his fellow Californian, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), served on former Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) Intel Committee while reportedly having a sexual relationship with a Communist Chinese spy, who he also hired to work on his campaign.

Even though both Democrats have proven themselves to be the last people anyone wants having access to state secrets, members of the corporate-controlled media are melting down over Speaker McCarthy’s decision to kick them off the Committee before any more damage is done.

During a recent press conference, PBS reporter Lisa Desjardins made a complete fool of herself by insisting McCarthy needs to bar freshman Rep. George Santos (R-NY) from serving on any committee since he removed Reps. Schiff and Swalwell from the Intel Committee.

Speaker McCarthy pointed out that he is treating Representatives from both parties consistently by focusing on the integrity of those serving on the Intelligence Committee.

“Is Santos on the Intel Committee?,” McCarthy asked Desjardins rhetorically. “Am I allowing Schiff to be on other committees?”

No matter how obviously illogical, Desjardins insisted on clinging to her circular logic – any alterations to the Intelligence Committee without banning Rep. Santos from all committees is somehow a crime in her mind.

While Rep. Santos has been entangled in a mess of his own making thanks to a habit of habitually lying, the Speaker has refused to wade into the issue, insisting that the situation is between the politician and his constituents.

But Dejardins continued to throw a hissy fit, insisting that Santos “is a man who should not be on committees.”

“He’s got elected by his district,” McCarthy reminded her.

“That’s not an answer to my question,” Desjardins fired back.

That was the last straw for McCarthy.

“Okay, let me be very clear and respectful to you,” the Speaker shot back. “You asked me a question. When I answer it, it’s the answer to your question. You don’t get to determine whether I answer your question or not, okay? In all respect. Thank you.”

He then outlined exactly why Rep. Schiff was booted off the Committee.

The Intel Committee is different,” McCarthy explained. “You know why? Because what happens in the Intel Committee, you don’t know. What happens in the Intel Committee, the secrets that are going on in the world, other members of Congress don’t know.”

“What did Adam Schiff do as the Chairman of the Intel Committee?” he continued. “What Adam Schiff did, use his power as the Chairman and lie to the American public. Even the Inspector General said it.”

The Republican Speaker went on to explain how his decision to ban Rep. Swalwell from the most critical Committee in Congress is actually part of his job of cleaning up the mess left over from Rep. Peolsi’s “leadership.”

“You have not had the briefing that I had,” McCarthy noted. “I had the briefing and Nancy Pelosi had the briefing from the FBI. The FBI never came before this Congress to tell the leadership of this Congress that Eric Swalwell had a problem with a Chinese spy until he served on Intel.”

“I’ve got that briefing, so I do not believe he should sit on there, that committee, and I believe there’s 200 other Democrats that can serve on that Committee,” he pointed out. “So this has nothing to do with Santos. Santos is not on the Intel Committee.”

Speaker McCarthy then went on to point out that while members of the legacy media are some of the most dedicated partisans in existence, his decisions on this matter have been based on principle, rather than dirty politics.

“Those voters elected Schiff, even though he lied,” McCarthy stated. “Those voters elected Swalwell, even though he lied to the American public too.”

“So you know what?” he asked. ”I’ll respect his voters too and they’ll serve on committees, but they will not serve on a place that has national security, because integrity matters to me. That’s the answer to your question.”

While leftists in the legacy media remain “stuck on stupid,” Kevin McCarthy is actually taking some long overdue measures to secure America’s most sensitive secrets from dirty politicians who have proven themselves untrustworthy.
