CNN has fallen on some very hard times.

The once-proud network is barely surviving and its reporters are stretching to try and prove themselves.

But Kevin McCarthy just brutally knocked down a CNN reporter’s question with one serious charge against the failing network.

Since becoming Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has been a pleasant surprise.

Tough votes, investigations, and straight talk

McCarthy has forced the House to go on record on some major pieces of legislation.

He launched investigations into the corrupt Biden family, the weaponization of the FBI, and provided footage of January 6 to Tucker Carlson.

But another refreshing attribute from Speaker McCarthy has been his candor.

Unlike other Speakers who spent most of their time lying, skirting issues, and being phony, McCarthy has been blunt, to the point, and honest.

For example, take his recent exchange with a reporter from CNN.

McCarthy was being asked about his recent decision to give Tucker Carlson the footage from January 6.

CNN reporter Manu Raju asked McCarthy whether he regrets giving Carlson the tapes and claimed that he used the footage to “whitewash” what happened on January 6, 2021.

McCarthy made it very clear that he does not regret the decision.

“No,” the House Speaker responded.

“I said at the very beginning, ‘Transparency.’ And so what I wanted to produce for everybody is exactly what I said, people can actually look at it and see what’s gone on that day,” McCarthy said.

Failing almost as fast as CNN+

In an effort to pull off a “gotcha” moment, the CNN reporter asked McCarthy if he agrees with Carlson’s reporting.

However, the tactic failed miserably.

McCarthy responded that “each person can come up with their own conclusion.”

Of course, this is exactly the point of releasing the footage.

This is footage that has been kept hidden from the American people, from members of Congress, and from the defense teams for the January 6 political prisoners.

Even Congressman Bennie Thompson (D-MS), Chairman of the House Select Committee on January 6, admitted he had never seen the video footage.

And already, after just a few minutes of footage, we’ve seen three big lies about that day be totally destroyed.

McCarthy has done the entire nation a service whether CNN likes it or not.

McCarthy calls out CNN

Right after McCarthy shut down Raju’s attempt at a “gotcha” moment, the Speaker zeroed in on CNN.

He blasted the network for allegedly exposing the secret location where Congressional leadership fled on January 6.

“I just wanted to make sure I had transparency, because I know on CNN, I mean, I had here where you guys actually wrote where we were,” McCarthy said. “This was a secret location: Fort McNair. I don’t know if you got concerned by that. I don’t even know from a security point of view if we could ever be taken there again.”

“But when you broke that at CNN, that was a real concern to a lot of people,” he added.

McCarthy also pointed out that he consulted with Capitol Police before releasing the tapes to ensure sensitive material was not included.

He said the Capitol Police only raised concerns about one piece of footage, which was protected before its release.

The Capitol Police told McCarthy that the January 6 Committee did not consult with them before it released any footage.

No wonder CNN has fallen so far and is continuing on its downward spiral.
