Leftist comedian Jon Stewart weighed in on Dave Chappelle’s SNL appearance and you won’t believe what he said

The “woke” speech police are in an uproar against Dave Chappelle again.

All for making jokes.

Now leftist comedian Jon Stewart weighed in on Dave Chappelle’s SNL appearance and you won’t believe what he said.

Free speech opponents are outraged once again at popular comedian Dave Chappelle.

This is nothing new for the comic who has made it clear where he stands and what he believes.

But for the “woke” anti-speech Nazis, his jokes and monologues are something to be scorned and shut down.

He “appeared” to promote antisemitism

The latest attacks against Chappelle are because of his recent monologue on Saturday Night Live (SNL).

While his appearance on the show spiked ratings to their highest levels in years, the woke crowd was appalled by Chappelle.

During his monologue, Chappelle joked that Ye (Kanye West) was “not crazy at all” to think that Jews control the entertainment industry.

Chappelle said, “I’ve been to Hollywood, and I don’t want y’all to get mad at me, I’m just telling you — this is just what I saw: It’s a lot of Jews. Like a lot.”

This is something countless Americans have said – because demographically speaking, it’s absolutely true.

There is simply no denying that there are a lot of Jewish Americans involved in Hollywood.

Why saying that out loud is considered anti-Semitic is baffling.

It would be like people getting mad for saying that there are a lot of blacks playing in the NFL or the NBA.

It’s simply the truth.

And Jon Stewart, appearing on Late Night with Stephen Colbert, weighed in on the controversy.

Jon Stewart weighs in

Stewart seemed to change gears when he pointed out that he himself has been accused of anti-Semitism.

And he was accused of it because he criticizes Israel and defends Palestine.

Stewart said he believed the anti-Semitism accusations are only done to “shut down debate.”

Censorship won’t end anti-Semitism

Stewart then talked at length about the fallacy of the woke mob who want to shut down all free speech they don’t like.

“Whether it be comedy or discussion or anything else, if we don’t have the wherewithal to meet each other with what’s reality, then how do we move forward?” Stewart asked. “If we all just shut it down, then we retreat to our little corners of misinformation, and it metastasizes.”

And surprisingly, Stewart then seemed to defend NBA star Kyrie Irving who was penalized by being suspended for several games after he shared an anti-Semitic film on social media.

Stewart offered this take, “The one thing I will say is, I don’t believe that censorship and penalties are the way to end anti-Semitism or to gain understanding. I don’t believe in that. It’s the wrong way for us to approach it.”

And Stewart went further, adding, “This is a grown-ass man. The idea that you would say to him, ‘We’re going to put you in a timeout. You have to sit in the corner and stare at the wall until you no longer believe that the Jews control the international banking system’ . . . We will never gain any kind of understanding with each other.”

“Penalizing somebody for having a thought – I don’t think is the way to change their minds or gain understanding.”

On those points, Stewart is exactly correct.

Free speech is literally the first of the freedoms, but to the socialist Left, free speech is something to be destroyed.

After all, you can’t usher in a socialist government if people are allowed to think and say what they want.
