Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg sits at the top of the list of incompetent Joe Biden hires.

Buttigieg lurched from failure to failure without being held accountable.

And Marjorie Taylor Greene just hit Pete Buttigieg with this nasty curveball.

On Pete Buttigieg’s watch, there has been a supply chain meltdown, mass flight cancellations, and a train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, where toxic chemicals seeped into the air, soil, and water.

Pete Buttigieg was AWOL for weeks and Americans only later learned that he was on paternity leave as he and his husband, Chasten, brought home their surrogate children.

Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene took advantage of the Holman Rule – which allows Congress to zero out the salaries of federal officials – to pass an amendment chopping Buttigieg’s salary down to $1.

“Pete Buttigieg doesn’t do his job. It’s all about fake photo ops and taxpayer-funded private jet trips to accept LGBTQ awards for him,” Green wrote on social media about the successful effort to hold Buttigieg accountable for his failures. “I’m happy my amendment passed, but he doesn’t deserve a single penny.”

Greene hammering Buttigieg about his private flights – the Transportation Secretary racked up tens of thousands of dollars in cost to taxpayers over his aversion to flying commercial – provided another example of how the press and the Swamp look the other way on scandals within the Biden administration.

In 2017, a relentless press campaign attacking Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price forced him out after just months on the job.

Since Price was the point man on the Trump administration’s effort to repeal and replace Obamacare, the Left wanted him gone.

Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt ripped Buttigieg for his extravagant travel habits.

“Secretary Buttigieg seems averse to traveling on the very commercial airlines that his department oversees. It’s far past time that Secretary Buttigieg traveled commercially instead of wasting taxpayer dollars on private jet flights,” Schmitt declared.

Anger at Buttigieg in the GOP has been building for months.

Joe Biden never once visited East Palestine and Buttigieg was slow to get on the ground and survey the fallout of the train derailment.

Buttigieg’s indifference to the people of East Palestine became a major sore spot for conservatives, as the Biden administration left the community to fend for itself in the wake of the toxic chemical spill simply because the residents supported Donald Trump.

Now Congressional Republicans are using their majority to rebuke Buttigieg and sanction him for his failures in office.
