Meghan Markle is struggling to get in the news after she lost her Spotify podcast because she didn’t take it seriously.
She is trying to launch a new product, but it has been delayed because Netflix is dragging its feet on starting her cooking show.
And Meghan Markle is about ready to cut all ties to the Royal Family with this move.
Podcast Bust
Meghan Markle tried to get a podcast deal on Spotify, but it became apparent that she lacked the depth needed to make it work.
She had great guests, but she spent most of the time talking about herself and never built a following.
“They are not being supportive, to say the least,” Vulture reported. “The CEO of UTA Jeremy Zimmer called Markle untalented during the Cannes Lions advertising festival.”
“Turns out Meghan Markle was not a great audio talent, or necessarily any kind of talent,” Zimmer reportedly said of the end of the podcasting deal and the trend of celebrity podcasts. “And, you know, just because you’re famous doesn’t make you great at something.”
That deal was canceled.
She then pitched a cooking show to Netflix and was going to start a lifestyle brand with her jam.
She began the push for her jam four months ago, but nothing has hit the shelves.
What’s Left?
The one product Meghan Markle has left is dirt on her husband’s family.
That has been her biggest seller to date.
It’s what gets her interviews with Oprah.
She has a million followers on Instagram that she largely built on throwing the Royal Family under the bus.
The gossip publication OK! said that “there’s so much demand for Meghan to speak out, whether that’s in the form of another sit-down interview or even her own memoir.”
“She has the potential to make an absolute fortune and clear up a lot of questions,” it added.
It has been a year since Prince Harry released his book Spare.
Publishers are clamoring for more royal muckraking because it is great for book sales.
The publisher of Spare wants Harry to write another chapter before they release his book in paperback.
This is putting Harry in a tough spot.
The family is not exactly forgiving and he needs money and publicity.
The tabloid Zinio reported that “the royals still can’t believe some of the things Harry said in his book, and it will go down in history as one of the biggest betrayals of the monarchy in modern memory. For him to rub salt in the wounds again for his own personal gain would send him so far into the doghouse that there’d be no way back it would ruin any chance of reconciliation.”
The Problem is they are Shallow
Meghan and Harry have one major problem.
Their problem is that they are shallow and don’t have much to say.
If they had accomplished anything in the last year, then he could write a chapter about it.
But all he has to sell is more muck on his family.
In order to stay in the limelight and rebuild their brand, they have to sell the Royal Family down the river again and probably lose any royal privilege they have left.
