There are few freedoms that are as crucial as the freedom of speech and freedom of the press.
Unsurprisingly, the Left absolutely hates these basic principles, as they undermine their ability to silence anybody who does not agree with them.
That’s why Merrick Garland just got put in his place over this tyrannical move.
The radical Left is on a mission to silence their political enemies
There is a deliberate reason why the freedom of the press, speech, religion, and assembly are included in the First Amendment.
America’s founders valued these rights above all of the rest as these rights are fundamental to any free society.
Having said that, the radical Left in America absolutely loathes these fundamental rights, as they allow people who do not agree with them to undermine their radical agenda.
Democrats have made it their mission to silence their political rivals, but what has happened at Twitter over the years is more extreme than many ever guessed.
According to a series of internal memos released by Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk, Twitter employees went far out of their way to coordinate with the federal government to cover up the Hunter Biden laptop scandal just before the 2020 election.
More specifically, Twitter was directed by the FBI to remove a story published by the New York Post right before the 2020 election, which would’ve been very damaging to Hunter and Joe Biden.
Now that these actions are being revealed, Americans are seething with rage and are rightfully demanding action.
House Republicans are on the case, and one House Republican, in particular, Darrell Issa of California, just said something that has Merrick Garland and the Department of Justice shaking in their boots.
On Fox News’ Fox News Rundown podcast, Rep. Issa argued that “The one thing that we see with the mainstream media is they want to treat it as old news, rather than covered-up reporting.”
He then said “I mean, the fact is, the mainstream media was very willing to accept this as Russian misinformation or any other excuse to not report it and now that we’ve discovered that it was intentionally stifled by, quite frankly, the Department of Justice, in concert with social media, they don’t want to cover that story.”
He then concluded with “But that’s the largest story of our time. If you can eliminate the reporting of valid news, or, for that matter, kill anything you don’t like, then why are we any different than China, Russia, or Iran?”
Rep. Darrell Issa is entirely right to compare these actions by the Department of Justice to a tyrannical regime like China and Iran.
The blocking of news reports to help a particular candidate win an election is sinister at best, and the American public deserves to know more.
People ought to go to prison for these actions, as they are quintessentially unAmerican and very illegal.
The scary thing is that this is likely only the tip of the iceberg.
Without a doubt, there are many more scandals like this one that have yet to be revealed.
