Mike Pence and Kamala Harris are the two most recent Vice Presidents.
They just had a major showdown.
And it ended when Mike Pence just destroyed Kamala Harris with one devastating question.
Kamala Harris was among the many Democrats trying to whip up a fury in the Party’s base over the leak of a draft Supreme Court opinion overturning Roe v. Wade.
Harris spoke at the left-wing EMILY’s List group that supports radical pro-abortion female Democrat candidates for office.
In her speech, Harris screeched about Republicans “weaponizing” the defense of unborn babies by falsely claiming that Pro-Life legislation attacked the rights of women to control their bodies.
“Those Republican leaders who are trying to weaponize the use of the law against women. Well, we say, how dare they!” Harris yelled.
“How dare they tell a woman what she can and cannot do with her own body! How dare they!” Harris continued. “How dare they try to stop her from determining her own future! How dare they try to deny women their rights and their freedoms!”
Former Vice President Mike Pence responded to Harris with his own speech to a Pro-Life event in South Carolina.
Pence took Harris to task for lying about the intentions of the Pro-Life movement and Pro-Life legislation.
“Now this week Vice President Kamala Harris scolded the five Justices on the Supreme Court listed in that draft opinion and Republican legislators in states across the country for what she said was their plan to weaponize the use of the law against women, saying to pro-life Americans how dare they,” Pence declared.
Pence pointed out that since the disastrous 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, 62 million unborn babies have died in abortion mills.
He then asked Harris on their behalf, “how dare you?”
“Well I say with the lives of 62 million unborn boys and girls ended in abortion since 1973, generations of mothers enduring heartbreaking and loss that can last a lifetime: Madame Vice President, how dare you?” Pence asked.
Democrats would very much like to make abortion front and center in the Midterm elections.
That’s partly because Democrats don’t have a positive story to tell about crime, education, inflation, foreign policy, and the southern border.
But Democrats also mistakenly believe support for abortion-on-demand up until the moment of birth is popular.
Donald Trump won in 2016 in large part by turning the election into a referendum on the Supreme Court.
And Mike Pence putting the consequences of abortion-on-demand on display for all the voters to see destroys the Democrats’ position.
