Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi received the one document that she was dreading.

Speculation immediately flew around the Capitol as to what this trial could be about.
Pelosi later answered those questions with a statement revealing that the document request pertained to the criminal trial against David DePage, a mentally ill man arrested last year for breaking into the Pelosi home and bashing her husband Paul in the head with a hammer.
“This is to notify you formally pursuant to Rule Eight of the rules of the House of Representatives, that I, the Honorable Nancy Pelosi, Speaker Emerita, and U.S. Representative for the 11th Congressional District of California, have been served with third party subpoenas from the prosecution and the defendant to produce documents in a criminal case and United States District Court for the Northern District of California,” Pelosi announced.
“After consultation with the Office of General Counsel, I have determined that compliance with the subpoenas is consistent with the privileges and of the House to the extent it requires production of non-privileged information. The responses to the subpoenas will be identical,” Pelosi’s statement continued.
DePage was a mentally disturbed individual whose political views vacillated between the Left and the Right.
Despite this fact, Democrats and their allies in the media seized on this attack to bolster Joe Biden’s false claim that Donald Trump and his supporters were enemies of the republic who threatened to end democracy in America through a wave of political violence.
DePage’s attack on Paul Pelosi came just days before the Midterm elections and played a role in the Democrats beating expectations in the House, expanding their majority in the Senate, and winning the key gubernatorial elections.
Once the Midterms were over, the media dropped the Paul Pelosi attack from the news since it no longer served any political purpose for the Left.
Pelosi announcing she would produce documents for the criminal trial was the first anyone heard of this story in months.
