A lot of famous musicians and actors seem to enjoy slamming Donald Trump in order to gain more attention from fans.
In some cases, these famous faces will never admit when they’re wrong about the former President.
But one loud-mouthed comedian just pulled a U-turn with his opinion of Donald Trump.
Michael Rapaport admits he was wrong about Trump
Film actor and comedian Michael Rapaport has now admitted he was wrong about former President Donald Trump.
The brash comedian has been an outspoken defender of Israel since the attack on October 7.
He recently appeared on Sage Steele’s podcast where the two discussed the current political climate.
In May, Rapaport “unendorsed” Joe Biden.
And in February, he said that voting for Trump was “on the table.”
He traveled to Israel in December for a television performance and to show his solidarity with the Israeli people.
Rapaport had attacked Trump on social media for years, referring to him as “pig d**k.”
But now he says he was wrong about Trump on the two issues he cares most about – Israel and the economy.
“I was wrong about Israel, and I was wrong about economy stuff,” he said.
“I was wrong. ‘Cause. I talked s*** about Jared [Kushner], I was first in line talking s*** about Trump, all day, every day,” he said, before adding that he still did not like some of Trump’s behavior or his “mouth.”
“The mouth and the mean tweets,” Rapaport said. “I didn’t feel like it was appropriate. Yeah, it’s not appropriate. And I would say that to him today. If I would say, like, yo, your mouth, man. You’re the President. You’re also 79. You just got shot in the ear. Like, get some new material. Like, truly, like bring us together.”
However, he also admitted that Donald Trump has been fully supportive of Israel and took away Iran’s ability to finance terror.
The comedian said he was previously “ill-informed” about Donald Trump’s policy on Israel and how he “turned the screws on Iran.”
Jokester says the defense of Israel is a priority
Several people were surprised to hear Rapaport’s comments and took to social media to express their shock.
“Holy s*** Michael Rapaport admits he was wrong about Trump,” one user on X wrote. “Proof that the Great Awakening can reach even the most Trump-deranged liberals.”
During the interview, Rapaport said defending Israel should be the priority “first and foremost” and that Iran should face tariffs.
“So honestly, I mean, between your two issues, Israel and your money and the economy, would this be the first time you vote Republican?” Steele asked Rapaport.
“I’m not saying I’m gonna vote Republican,” he replied.
She then quoted his “Voting for Trump is on the table” comments, to which he responded that “I was wrong. I wasn’t wrong about my personal feelings, and I wasn’t wrong about everything. And I wasn’t wrong about his behavior.”
“I feel no matter who anyone votes for, it’s never going to be exactly what you want. You know, I don’t agree with everything my wife says,” Rapaport quipped.
“But at the end of the day, you know, like I’m clear. I want my interest rates to be down. And then Israel needs to be protected more than ever now,” he added.
