One man just learned the hard way why you should never do this to a wild orca

Orcas are one of the last things you want to face in the wild.

But no one ever told this crazy New Zealander to stay away from the massive sea creature.

And one man just learned the hard way why you should never do this to a wild orca.

Orca’s are nightmare fuel

Millions of Americans are going to be sticking their toes into the ocean over the next few months.

For a society that will refuse to drink water that isn’t purified, it’s amazing how many people are willing to swim in the ocean considering what is lurking in the deep sea.

For one, think of all the fish and other sea creatures that poop, pee, and do God knows what in the water.

But more importantly, the creatures in the water can kill you.

Animals like sharks and massive squids are fuel for nightmares.

But come to find out, one of the deadliest sea creatures is the orca.

Orcas are known for attacking humans, but they have one advantage over the dreaded shark.

Orcas are super intelligent.

Orca packs are known for jumping out of the water and beaching themselves in order to snatch away a seal.

As they are munching on the seal, they have enough intelligence to wiggle off the beach.

But no one told this New Zealander that he should be petrified of an orca.

Man’s stupidity knows no limits

This crazy guy saw his opportunity to belly flop on a giant orca as it passed by the boat he was on.

And his stupidity has become a viral hit, as one man’s stupidity is another man’s entertainment.

But not everyone thought this guy taking his life at risk to flip on an orca was funny.

Many people online were furious to see his stupidity in action.

But just to make matters worse, local authorities didn’t see the humor in his stupidity either.

In fact, the man was fined the equivalent of $600 for his daring move.

One official told the local press that he just couldn’t believe his eyes when he watched the video.

The official claimed that “[t]he video left us genuinely stunned.  This is stupid behavior and demonstrates a shocking disregard for the welfare of the orca.”

He later claimed that the move to jump on the orca could have caused the “startled whale being injured, or the man responsible being harmed by the aggravated animal.”

And the New Zealand official went on to claim that “[i]t’s a very clear breach of the Marine Mammals Protection Act. Orca are classified as whales under conservation legislation and it is illegal to swim with whales, or disturb or harass any marine mammal.”
