There’s very little doubt that Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is and always has been delusional.
Every time she opens her mouth, it seems like things get crazier and crazier than the time before.
But people who already thought Nancy Pelosi was crazy haven’t heard her latest suggestion.
Nancy Pelosi suggests adding Joe Biden to Mount Rushmore
Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi recently sat down with CBS journalist Lesley Stahl to talk politics.
During the discussion, the California lawmaker suggested that President Joe Biden should be added to the iconic American landmark Mount Rushmore because his Presidency has been so “consequential.”
The brilliant suggestion came during the interview when she was asked about her role in convincing Biden to drop out of the 2024 race.
Pelosi denied that she led the charge and claimed that Biden was at “the top of his game” before he dropped out.
“He was in a good place to make whatever decision – the top of his game. Such a consequential President of the United States, a Mount Rushmore kind of President of the United States,” she said.
“Are you really saying that he belongs up there on Mount Rushmore? Lincoln and Joe Biden?” Stahl replied.
“Well, you got Teddy Roosevelt up there, and he’s wonderful. I don’t say take him down. But you can add Biden,” Pelosi said.
When pressed about whether Joe Biden is truly worth receiving the honor of having his face on Mount Rushmore, Pelosi insisted that he was.
President Joe Biden was born in 1942, approximately one year after the Mount Rushmore monument was completed.
Pelosi claims she didn’t try to oust Biden
The praise for Biden came as Pelosi simultaneously had to defend her alleged scheme to convince the President to step aside.
At the time, Pelosi claimed that Joe Biden was in a position to make that decision on his own.
“No, I wasn’t the leader of any pressure [campaign]. Let me say things that I didn’t do: I didn’t call one person. I did not call one person. I could always say to him, ‘I never called anybody,’” she insisted.
Yet many of Pelosi’s allies in Congress publicly called on Biden to remove himself from the race.
A CNN report also said that Pelosi strongly suggested to Biden that the polls indicated he couldn’t win the election in November.
When Biden argued that the polls showed he could win, she put the President’s longtime adviser, Mike Donilon, on the phone to talk to him.
Pelosi pushed back with Stahl by saying that “my whole point was whatever he decides, but we have to have a more aggressive campaign.”
According to Pelosi, “he [Biden] knows that I love him very much.”
