Our Founding Fathers gave their lives and their fortunes to kick the British crown out of America.

But ESPN just gave Prince Harry an award that is bringing back hatred for the British monarchy like we haven’t seen since Lexington and Concord.

And Prince Harry and ESPN are crying in the corner after giving the middle finger to American patriots.

Down with the Crown

Over this Independence Day weekend, make sure you reflect on the sacrifices our Founding Fathers endured so we can enjoy the fireworks and BBQ.

They did the unthinkable and took a bunch of backwoodsmen and farmers and went toe to toe with the largest military power of their time.

Even though they took a major beating most of the time, these patriots won the battle when it counted due to their unwavering commitment to overthrow the British crown.

And our nation has been free from the British crown’s reign for nearly 250 years.

But recently the British Royal Family has been making their presence and influence known within the states.

Unfortunately for America, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been trying everything they can to be relevant in the United States.

Even with all the obnoxious attempts by Meghan and Harry to be popular in the United States, the average American has ignored their shenanigans.

But now it looks like Prince Harry went one step too far and is causing an uproar.

Pat Tillman award debacle

ESPN gives the Pat Tillman Award to “a person with a strong connection to sports who has served others in a way that echoes the legacy of the former NFL player and U.S. Army Ranger, Pat Tillman.”

ESPN is honoring Prince Harry with the Pat Tillman Award during the ESPYs on July 11th.

This decision to give the award to Prince Harry isn’t settling well with some people who are affiliated with ESPN and the award.

For one, ESPN’s top content creator and personality, Pat McAfee, put ESPN on blast for giving the award to the disgraced former Prince of Great Britain.

McAfee told his audience that “it’s going to Prince Harry, who I don’t even think is a Prince anymore, right? He said don’t call me that? See, why does the ESPYs do this s***! This is like actually the most embarrassing thing I’ve seen in my entire life.”

But the heat wasn’t just coming from inside ESPN.

Pat Tillman’s own mom, Mary Tillman, told the Daily Mail that she was shocked to see the news that Prince Harry was being honored in her son’s name.

In disgust, Mary Tillman said “I am shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award. There are recipients that are far more fitting. There are individuals working in the veteran community that are doing tremendous things to assist veterans.”

It is sad that ESPN would use such an award to bolster themselves and Prince Harry.

Prince Harry is only involved with veterans by associating himself with the Invictus Games Foundation.
