Rachel Maddow is the biggest star in left-wing cable news.
Maddow reached the highest peak of her fame by feeding conspiracy theories to her audience about what Donald Trump winning in 2016 meant for the country.
But now Rachel Maddow fell flat on her face in front of millions with this humiliating display.
Donald Trump’s re-election campaign is now both a political and legal enterprise.
After Trump announced his intention to run for re-election last November, Democrat prosecutors ramped up their witch hunts against him.
Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Jack Smith as Special Counsel and prosecutors Alvin Bragg and Fani Willis kickstarted investigations that were on life support due to the fact that the criminal charges being probed were baseless in the first place.
On the most recent episode of her show, Rachel Maddow recounted the latest reporting from the New York Times claiming Trump knows that he can make the cases against him go away if he wins re-election.
If Jack Smith wins a conviction in his kangaroo courts, Trump can either pardon himself of the federal charges or he can just order his Attorney General to drop the cases if he can delay the trials past Election Day.
The show trials Democrats have planned in deep-Blue Atlanta and Manhattan will also go away since there is no chance of prosecuting a sitting President.
In discussing these potential outcomes, Rachael Maddow went full tin foil hat brigade mode.
Since Democrats would just keep indicting him over and over again once he left office, Maddow baselessly claimed Trump would cancel all future elections in America and anoint himself king in order to stay out of prison.
“The election means one of two things. If this is the way he’s going to approach it, either he loses the election and he goes to prison, or he wins the election, he doesn’t go to prison, and is there for life so that he gets to be President? Will we keep having more elections or not?” Maddow began.
“If every election is a new opportunity for him to go to prison, do you think he allows us to have new elections? I mean, if those are the stakes, if winning the election is his plan to stay out of prison, what happens in that election if and when he does not win it?” Maddow continued.
Maddow wants to feed the fever dreams of her audience because she knows that is how she can keep them tuning in to her program.
There is no mechanism by which Donald Trump – or any President – can cancel all future elections since they are mandated by the Constitution.
