Dr. Anthony Fauci thought he was going to be able to have a quiet retirement.

But he’s back in the hot seat once again.

And Rand Paul uttered three words that left Anthony Fauci trembling in fear.

Dr. Anthony Fauci thought that he could put the pandemic behind him when he retired as Biden’s Chief White House Medical Advisor and the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

Rand Paul (R-KY) is one of Fauci’s fiercest critics for lying to the public and abusing his power during the pandemic.

He told talk radio show host John Catsimatidis that Fauci should “go to prison” for his “dishonesty” during the pandemic.

“For his dishonesty, frankly, he should go to prison,” Paul said. “If you lie to Congress, and you’re dishonest, and you won’t accept responsibility. For his mistake in judgment, he should just be pilloried. He should never be accepted.”

Paul estimated that Fauci could have contributed to 10 to 20 million people losing their lives during the pandemic by using taxpayer money to “fund dangerous research — gain-of-function research, where you allow viruses to be combined.”

The Kentucky lawmaker, who believes the virus came from a lab in Wuhan, China, has clashed with Fauci over the origins of the virus.

Fauci worked to suppress the theory that the virus leaked from a lab when it became clear that it could be traced back to his decision to fund gain-of-function research.

“History should judge him as a deficient person who made one of the worst decisions in public health history — in the entire history of the world,” Paul added.

Paul consistently called for Fauci to be held accountable for this infuriating conduct during the pandemic.

“And do you believe that Anthony Fauci belongs in jail?” Fox News host Sean Hannity asked Paul last October.

“Without question,” Paul replied.

Fauci has dismissed any talk of him being prosecuted or facing any kind of accountability.

“There’s no response to that craziness,” Fauci said. “I mean, prosecute me for what? What are they talking about? I mean, I wish I could figure out what the heck they were talking about. I think they’re just going off the deep end.”

Of course, Fauci pleads ignorance to any accusations made against him.

“It doesn’t make any sense to say something like that, and it actually is irresponsible,” Fauci said of calls to have him thrown in jail.

Rand Paul is trying to make sure Anthony Fauci faces a day of reckoning for the destruction he caused during the pandemic.
