The woke radicals have infiltrated nearly every aspect of American life.

This includes many religious institutions and Christian leaders.

And Republican lawmakers in North Dakota turned their backs on this Chaplain for one jaw-dropping reason.

The mad rush to cancel everything and impose a new woke explanation of the world is getting worse every day.

“That looks really ugly”

“I just didn’t expect it,” Reverend Leanne Simmons, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Bismarck, told FKYR-TV.

“When I saw it, though, my first reaction was, ‘oh, that looks really ugly,’” the Reverend exclaimed.

She was referring to the response she received during her woke prayer before a session of the North Dakota legislature.

Republican lawmakers in the North Dakota State Senate turned their backs on the chaplain last month when she led the politicians in prayer.

Their reaction to her politically correct and arguably blasphemous prayer has since garnered local media attention in the Peace Garden State.

As is customary at the start of each floor session in North Dakota, Simmons prayed over the Senate on February 8.

But State Senators Michael Wobbema (R) and Janne Myrdal (R) turned their backs on the minister as she spoke.

Not a benign prayer, rather a lobbying speech

“When I was praying about pluralism, diversity, genders, races, that was the point at which they look at each other and turn,” Simmons said as she watched a video of the opening prayer. “That seems like a kind of benign prayer.”

Myrdal and Wobbema, however, did not see Simmons’ invocation as a “benign prayer.”

“People lobbying from the prayer pulpit is something we don’t believe in,” Senator Myrdal told FKYR-TV.

Senator Wobbema said he believed Simmons was using her spiritual platform to make a political statement about the transgender bills the lawmakers would be voting on that session.

One of the bills before North Dakota lawmakers, H.B. 1254, would make it a class B felony — equitable to manslaughter and punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine — to perform transgender-related surgeries on minors.

“According to God’s Word, people who are called to preach God’s Word are held to a higher level of accountability,” Wobbema said.

It should be noted that Simmons’ Church is associated with the Presbyterian Church (USA), which is known for its radically progressive stance on doctrine, including the ordination of those who identify with the LGBTQ+ community.

In a Facebook post, the Church voiced its support for the radical Simmons.

“Proud of our amazing Pastor, Rev. Dr. Leanne Simmons, for sharing the Good News through this simple prayer, reminding us ALL that we are created beautifully and perfectly in HIS image,” the Church stated.

There was a time when Pastors stuck to the Bible instead o woke politics.

But those times are gone.

And today’s pastors are more inclined to kneel before the altar of woke leftist ideology than they are before God.
