At the age of 77, Sylvester Stallone is still one of the biggest stars in Hollywood.
But unlike most of the elites in Hollywood, Stallone isn’t a woke zealot and even left California and moved his family to the red state of Florida.
And now, Sylvester Stallone and Taylor Sheridan just added this Yellowstone star to their new hit show
Yellowstone’s hustling Italian uncle from Hell’s Kitchen, NY
There may be no greater current television-hitmaker than Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan.
His shows have hit the top of the ratings by speaking to and being relatable to working- class Americans, not just the metropolitan elites, who control the attention and focus of most Hollywood executives.
From Yellowstone and all of its spinoffs to Mayor of Kingstown and more, Sheridan has used the same “red state game of thrones” model to enthrall blue-collar audiences.
Another Sheridan hit for Paramount Plus is Sylvester Stallone’s Tulsa King.

Tulsa King is the second most-watched Paramount Plus original in the young streaming service’s history, behind only Yellowstone spinoff 1923, which is another Sheridan creation.
Season two is in production right now and could potentially be available to stream before the end of the year.
And now, Stallone and Tulsa King fans have a whole new reason to be excited about the show’s second season.
Tulsa King gets a new star to play opposite Sylvester Stallone
Neal McDonough has starred in well over 100 movies and television shows, including Tom Hanks’ Band of Brothers, Minority Report with Tom Cruise, and Walking Tall with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
More recently, McDonough played one of the Beck brothers – a villain making John Dutton’s life miserable – in Yellowstone.
And now, McDonough is about to add Tulsa King to his filmography.
Variety recently reported that McDonough will, once again, play an evil businessman, but this time, in the Stallone hit streaming show, Tulsa King.
McDonough is set to play the role of Cal Thresher – who Variety describes as “a powerful and extremely territorial businessman in Tulsa.”
Thresher sounds like the perfect type of foil for Sly’s character, Dwight Manfredi.
Tulsa King is rated 91% fresh
If you haven’t seen Paramount Plus’ Tulsa King, the show is a hit with critics and fans alike.
The Stallone-led vehicle boasts a 79% fresh critic score on Rotten Tomato and an even better 91% from the audiences.
The show follows Stallone’s character, Manfredi, a former mafia capo, who has just been released after a long stint in prison.
However, Manfredi hasn’t fully cleaned up his act and returns to running the streets, but only after moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Of course, things don’t go quite as Stallone had planned in this action-packed comedy of errors that is well worth a watch.
