The 2020 election left many Republicans feeling like their vote doesn’t even matter.

But there has been a grassroots effort across the country to secure our elections and save our nation.

And Texas government officials just took a monumental step in the fight to restore election integrity.

Over half of Americans expect “cheating” to occur in the 2024 election

Following the 2020 election, there were a litany of claims about the legitimacy of Joe Biden’s win.

People were concerned about the changes in voting laws, the number of deceased voters, and the potential for fraud with universal mail-in voting.

And while Biden is President, some voters still don’t believe it was fair.

According to a survey conducted by the University of South Florida early this year, over half of Republicans and one in five Independents don’t believe that Biden “legitimately won” in 2020.

Many are still concerned that there has not been “enough done to prevent cheating” this year.

Rasmussen Reports conducted a national survey in February where they asked about the fairness of the upcoming election.

Over half of all voters said that “cheating is likely to affect the outcome of the next Presidential election.”

But the Texas legislature just made an announcement that may remedy the situation in their state.

Over 450,000 deceased people removed from Texas voter rolls

Governor Greg Abbott signed Senate Bill 1 into law back in 2021 and promised to deliver free and fair elections in his state.

Abbott vowed to increase “penalties for illegal voting” against a backdrop of media pundits who called  election concerns a “conspiracy theory.”

Now he is celebrating his state’s efforts to “protect the right to vote and to crackdown on illegal voting.”

The Texas Governor has announced that the reforms he put in place “led to the removal of over one million ineligible people from voter rolls in the last three years.”

The list of “ineligible people” includes over 450,000 deceased people, 130,000 people who had moved, 6,500 noncitizens, 6,000 felons, and more.

The total number of people removed from voter rolls ended up at 1.1 million.

But Abbott said that they are not yet finished with the job.

“Illegal voting in Texas will never be tolerated”

Abbott said that “election integrity is essential to our democracy” and vowed to continue to clean up their rolls and ensure people have faith in the process.

In the statement, the Governor reminded the election officials that they are required to continue the work.

“The Secretary of State and county voter registrars have an ongoing legal requirement to review the voter rolls, remove ineligible voters, and refer any potential illegal voting” over to authorities for investigation.

Abbott said that the investigation and prosecution of these criminals is crucial to show that “illegal voting in Texas will never be tolerated.”

“We will continue to actively safeguard Texans’ sacred right to vote while also aggressively protecting our elections from illegal voting,” he said.

The Republican National Committee is also working on a swing state initiative to monitor polling places in November.

And they’ve enlisted thousands of patriotic Americans to join their efforts.
