If there’s one thing Democrats and their corporate-controlled media allies fear more than anything it’s a highly-engaged public.
And so long as they have a stranglehold on the flow of information, they can keep Americans disengaged.
That’s why the corporate-controlled media flew into total panic after Elon Musk made this move.
Musk’s Twitter deal is back on track
There’s nothing that induces more dread for members of the corporate-controlled media than the prospect of a fully informed and independent-thinking public.
Now, with Elon Musk’s deal to purchase Twitter apparently back on track, the prospect of a platform that truly offers freedom of speech has so-called “journalists” blowing their tops.
But free-speech advocates say this latest development is welcome news.
“Free speech is an important asset to many people,” District Media Group President Beverly Hallberg told Fox News. “Twitter notoriously has been a platform that silences ideas that go against the conventional narrative. We saw this especially during the era of COVID.”
“And so I’m hoping with Elon Musk taking over, it’s going to actually turn into a platform where people aren’t silenced for having an opinion that’s contrary to conventional wisdom,” she continued.
Democrats are furious
Of course, news of Musk’s bid to take over the social media giant has created chaos on the Left.
“[The corporate-controlled media] view themselves as not just there to give information, but be the arbiters of truth, to play disinformation police, to try to censor what information should even be in the lexicon of the American discussion,” Hallberg explained.
“And so I think what Elon Musk is actually exposing is showing that what many in the media think their responsibility is, is to tell us what we have to think,” she added. “But at the end of the day, media don’t look to just give facts and information and think that you were smart and wise enough to decide. They think it’s dangerous for [people] to decide for themselves.”
In fact, some on the Left have already pushed the panic button.
“For those of you asking: Yes, I do think this site can and will change pretty dramatically if Musk gets full control over it,” NBC’s Ben Collins tweeted. “No, there is no immediate replacement. If it gets done early enough, based on the people he’s aligned with, yes, it could actually affect midterms.”
The gentlemen doth protest too much
Collins’ insistence that true free speech will affect an election outcome basically amounts to a stunning admission that Twitter, and the rest of Big Tech and the corporate-controlled media, is manipulating political outcomes on a regular basis.
Former Politico editor Garett M. Graff doubled down on that dubious position, sharing Collins’ tweet and adding, “be afraid, be actually afraid.”
Oh, we certainly are — terrified, in fact, that we live in a world where self-righteous pundits, like Graff and Collins, have the gall to believe they are entitled to manipulate both how Americans see the world and the way it functions.
