Something dangerous is happening on college campuses.
Once thought of as a free marketplace of ideas, American universities are now churning out radical activists brainwashed in left-wing ideology.
But now the radical past of these Ivy League Social Justice Warriors is coming back to haunt them in a way they never saw coming.
Higher education or indoctrination camps?
Yale University was once considered one of the most prestigious institutes of higher education in the world.
Yale has produced leaders in business, technology, science, and even produced five U.S. Presidents.
But Yale has decided to embrace woke “critical theory” on campus – and as a result, instead of turning out the future leaders of the worlds, the Ivy League school is birthing a generation of woke activists.
In fact, Yale students don’t even want free speech.
Back in March of this year, about 120 Yale Law School students stormed a discussion between a liberal atheist and a conservative Christian meant to show how the two sides can find common ground.
Instead of listening and possibly learning something about tolerance – the students protested with vile signs, threatened to beat up the senior female Christian conservative speaker, and shut the event down.
Weeks later, in the wake of the protests that put a stop to a bipartisan panel about civil liberties, more than 400 Yale Law School students, signed an open letter against free speech and a police presence on campus.
That’s roughly 60% of the entire student body that doesn’t want or believe in the First Amendment to the Constitution.
Now some federal judges are saying enough is enough.
Boycotting Yale graduates
In fact, Breitbart News is reporting fourteen federal judges have declared they will no longer hire Yale Law School graduates as law clerks.
They cite the students’ radical activism, mentioned above, as the reason for the boycott.
The boycott was arranged by Judge James Ho, of the New Orleans-based 5th Circuit Court of Appeals after being appointed by then-President Donald Trump.
Judge Ho launched his movement in a speech at the Federalist Society conference in Kentucky, titled, “Agreeing to Disagree — Restoring America by Resisting Cancel Culture.”
“Yale not only tolerates the cancellation of views — it actively practices it,” Judge Ho said. “Starting today, I will no longer hire law clerks from Yale Law School. And I hope that other judges will join me as well.”
According to Breitbart, Judge Elizabeth Branch is one of the fourteen judges to agree to boycotting Yale grads over free speech concerns.
Branch is a Trump-appointee serving on the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta.
She says Yale is failing to educate students in American principles.
“My friend, Judge Jim Ho, recently raised legitimate concerns about the lack of free speech on law school campuses, Yale in particular,” Judge Branch said. “Like Judge Ho, I am gravely concerned that the stifling of debate not only is antithetical to this country’s founding principles, but also stunts intellectual growth. Accordingly, I accept Judge Ho’s invitation to join him in declining to consider students from Yale Law School for clerkships with me.”
That is a lot of money to pay for a law degree only to have job opportunities taken off the table due to extreme political behavior.
But don’t feel too bad for them, President Joe Biden will likely swoop in and pay their bills for them.
