Joe Biden has vehemently defended his son Hunter throughout the federal investigations into his shady foreign business dealings and other potential crimes.
But that may not have been Joe Biden’s best decision.
And now the walls are closing in on Joe Biden after this earth-shattering report revealed devastating news for Hunter.
Only a matter of time… Maybe
At this point, the federal investigation into Hunter Biden’s alleged criminal behavior has been ongoing for years.
In fact, it’s been over two years since the New York Post first exposed the existence of Hunter Biden’s infamous “laptop from hell” and blew the lid off the family’s alleged influence-peddling scheme.
Even that original report revealed that the FBI had been in possession of the laptop for more than a year.
But after three years, charges have still not been filed against the President’s son.
Nevertheless, according to a recent NBC News report, that could be changing very soon.
Two sources familiar with the matter told NBC News that federal prosecutors are considering charging Hunter Biden with four crimes – a felony tax evasion charge, a potential felony firearm charge, and two misdemeanors for failing to file taxes.
The potential felony firearm charge is related to his decision to falsify federal forms related to a firearm he purchased in 2018 when he chose to indicate he was not under the influence of any illicit substances while openly admitting in videos found on his infamous “laptop from hell” and in his memoir that he was definitely addicted to crack cocaine at the time.
Of course, as those who’ve been paying attention may have realized, this is really nothing new.
In fact, the Washington Post released a similar report in October indicating that federal prosecutors were weighing those exact charges against Hunter Biden at the time.
“Growing frustration” inside… the FBI?
According to the report from NBC News, two senior law enforcement sources said there was “growing frustration” inside the FBI over the fact that Hunter Biden has yet to be charged with any crimes.
Interestingly, those sources indicated that the FBI’s investigation of Hunter Biden had wrapped up a year ago and the IRS’ investigation has been complete for well over a year.
Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss, who happens to have been appointed by former President Donald Trump, will ultimately decide whether to bring charges against the younger Biden.
But if both investigations have been completed for at least a year and there is “growing frustration” in the Bureau that charges have not been filed, then why has a Trump-appointed prosecutor not already sealed the deal?
Obviously, charges should never be filed against anyone unless there is evidence that leads prosecutors to believe beyond a reasonable doubt that the suspect is guilty.
And it’s difficult to believe there would be “growing frustration” at the FBI that charges had not been filed against Hunter Biden if they did not have evidence of wrongdoing.
Furthermore, just this past week an IRS agent came forward seeking whistleblower protections after alleging that the federal investigation into Hunter Biden is being corrupted by lies and politics.
The agent’s lawyer, Mark Lytle, sent a letter to Congressional leaders in both parties that identified the potential whistleblower as an “IRS criminal supervisory special agent” who has already made “legally protected disclosures internally at the IRS through counsel to the U.S. Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, and to the Department of Justice, Office of Inspector General.”
But the IRS agent now wants whistleblower protection to come forward on the matter due to “serious risks of retaliation.”
No matter how you slice it, the walls are closing in on the Biden crime family.
