The woke mind virus has completely fried the brains of Democrats.
They now live in an alternate reality where right is wrong, wrong is right, evil is good, and good is evil.
And this Kamala Harris-endorsed Democrat’s effort to protect a convicted child predator just blew up in his face.
The crime of “misgendering”
According to a report from Fox News, a deputy District Attorney in Los Angeles has filed a complaint against woke Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón.
Gascón is one of the many George Soros-funded Democrat prosecutors who push soft-on crime policies.
The complaint alleges that Gascón and other officials led an “extensive retaliation campaign” against Shea Sanna, the deputy District Attorney, after he “misgendered” a convicted child predator and literal murderer.
“For the past two years, Gascón has tried to silence me,” Sanna told Fox News. “He has suspended me without pay, threatened my livelihood, attacked my credibility, tarnished my reputation, demoted me, investigated me, and harassed me, all so I would obey him; so I would stay quiet; so I wouldn’t speak up on behalf of those most affected by his misguided political policies.”
Fox News reported that “much of the conflict stems from Gascón’s handling of James ‘Hannah’ Tubbs, a convicted child molester who also bashed his own friend’s skull in with a rock in Kern County.”
Tubbs is a biological male, but he began “identifying” as a female after being arrested in connection with a child molestation case involving a 10-year-old girl in 2014.
Back in 2021, Tubbs was on the verge of being paroled from prison on separate assault charges when Sanna and other prosecutors attempted to have him transferred in order to ensure he was held accountable for the 2014 attack.
But according to the complaint, Gascón stepped in to seemingly protect this monster by taking him off the case and preventing him from presenting evidence that would have ensured justice for the victim and their family.
Sanna ultimately went public as a whistleblower in 2022 to expose Gascón’s mishandling of the case as well as additional policy and ethics violations, such as ignoring Marsy’s Law, which was specifically instituted to protect victims’ rights.
“In early 2022, Sanna’s once promising career trajectory was derailed when he publicly revealed how Gascón’s policies had led to a miscarriage of justice in the Tubbs case, nearly resulting in the release of a highly dangerous and violent sexual predator,” the complaint read. “Sanna also exposed how the Gascón Administration had suppressed evidence and directed Sanna not to oppose defense counsel’s arguments in order to secure Tubbs’s release.”
The Tubbs case previously made national headlines when Gascón chose to prosecute the convicted child predator as a juvenile because he was 17 at the time the crime was committed.
Fox News also previously obtained jailhouse phone calls that “appeared to show Tubbs and his father hatch a plan to identify as female, seeking to be housed in a girls’ facility or released outright.”
Sanna’s complaint noted that the deputy District Attorney was informed that Gascón and his cronies were “coming for him” after those calls were made public.
“In the Tubbs case, Deputy District Attorney Shea Sanna did nothing but seek to uphold his ethical and legal duties to present all relevant evidence to the court,” Sanna’s attorney, Anthony Fusaro, told Fox News. “Yet because this evidence conflicted with D.A. Gascón’s recently enacted policies and public statements, Gascón sought to suppress it. When Mr. Sanna informed his supervisors and the public of Gascón’s suppression efforts, Gascón responded with a relentless retaliation campaign against Mr. Sanna that persists to this day.”
As the network report pointed out, Sanna’s complaint against Gascón is just one of the roughly two dozen such retaliation lawsuits he is currently facing from prosecutors within his own office.
And with George Gascón up for re-election in November, the people of Los Angeles will finally have the chance to put an end to the woke madness he unleashed on the city.
But considering California’s track record, it’s probably wise not to hold your breath on that.
