Rule number one in politics is to never turn on your base.
Donald Trump may learn this the hard way if he does not correct the course as soon as possible.
But this one warning from a major pro-life leader may have just saved Donald Trump’s campaign.
The golden rule in politics
Every profession has its golden rules to live by.
For instance, police officers need to keep their head on a swivel and be ready for whatever they face out in the field.
If you are in customer service, then you can’t go wrong by treating the customer like they are always right.
If you are in IT, just reboot when all else fails.
But the golden rule of politics is to never turn on your base.
If you don’t have your core base support of voters, then you shouldn’t run for office.
It is expensive and time consuming to convince those who are on the fence to vote for you.
And the last thing you want to do is turn away the easy voter.
This is one rule that Democrats are great at following.
You will be hard-pressed to find a Democrat in national politics who is submissive of their base.
They will never turn on the issues that their base cares about.
With the Democrats’ base being so much bigger than Republicans, it won’t take much work for them to secure election victories since they can spend all of their time and hundreds of millions of dollars on those on-the-fence voters.
Trump must have forgotten the golden rule in politics when he directly went against the beliefs of one of his core voting blocs.
Will Trump keep his pro-life base?
Many who support Trump care mainly about the protection of unborn babies in the womb.
Pro-lifers will be loyal to politicians who are loyal to protecting life.
But they will stay at home and not vote when a politician makes it clear that they are supporting the pro-abortion agenda.
Pro-lifers were in shock last week when Trump basically came out in support of Florida’s Amendment 4, which would enshrine the right to an abortion up until birth into state law.
🚨Trump on Amendment 4 in Florida:
“I am going to be voting that we need more than six weeks.”
So he’s voting yes?!
This is demonic. He is talking about child sacrifice. This is no more evil than abortion trailers at the dnc.

Pro-life leader Kristen Hawkins couldn’t sit on the sidelines quietly after she received non-stop messages of deep concern from supporters of Students for Life Action.
Kristen posted a warning onThursday for Trump on the social media platform X.
“My phone is blowing up with @SFLAction volunteers who will no longer door knock for President Trump if this is not corrected. With polls neck and neck, this is the last thing we need right now to defeat Kamala’s pro-abortion extremism.”

Many were worried that Trump wouldn’t heed Kristen’s warning, but it looks like he heard her loud and clear.
On Friday, Trump seemed to change his mind on Florida’s Amendment 4.
He told Fox News that he would not vote for the change to the state Constitution.

Hopefully his pro-life base will now stay with him through November.
