Democrats never feel safer than when they’re in front of one of the corporate-controlled media’s TV cameras.
After all, the radical Left has had so-called “journalists” in their pockets for decades.
And that’s why this top Democrat was left uttering total gibberish after CNN pressed him to prove a new left-wing conspiracy theory.
It all started with the Left’s January 6 Commission witch hunt
The supposedly non-partisan January 6 Commission – which is made up exclusively of Democrats and two Republicans who voted to impeach President Donald Trump in the wake of January 6 – was clearly politically motivated from the start.
That fact was only reinforced as the Commission began holding nationally televised, primetime hearings last week, and reports revealed Democrats had hired a former ABC News President to “produce” the hearings in order to turn them into massive hours-long campaign ads to boost Democrats’ prospects in the 2022 Midterms.
Nevertheless, they’re still pressing forward with this political theater, and so far, they’ve made two relatively big claims about President Trump and Republicans involvement in January 6.
The first claim – that Trump sat in the Oval Office on January 6 and refused to provide National Guard reinforcements for Capitol Police – was debunked almost instantaneously.
According to Capitol Police memos obtained by Just The News, President Trump first offered National Guard troops to Capitol Police four days before January 6, and his Department of Defense repeatedly urged Capitol Police and the House and Senate Sergeant at Arms to request the Guard – which is required by law – but were denied until the chaos spiraled out of control.
The Commission’s second big claim – that Republican Congressmen immediately sought preemptive Presidential Pardons in the wake of January 6 – has yet to be proven one way or another, though.
Noted anti-Trump RINO, and one of only two Republicans on the Commission, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), made the startling claim in one of the first hearings while signaling out House Freedom Caucus Chair Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA).
“As you will see, Rep. Perry contacted the White House in the weeks after Jan 6. to seek a Presidential pardon,” Cheney claimed, adding, “Multiple other Republican Congressmen also sought Presidential pardons for their roles in attempting to overturn the 2020 election.”
Rep. Cheney and the rest of the January 6 Commission have still yet to provide even a shred of evidence to support the claim, though, and Rep. Perry has emphatically rejected the claim.
But a little absence of any sort of substance or evidence to back up their claims definitely isn’t going to stop bloodthirsty Democrats on the Commission from hopping on CNN.
Commission member, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), just didn’t expect someone at CNN to actually question him on it.
Rep. Raskin’s reaction to this one question said it all
During an interview with CNN’s State of the Union, host Dana Bash pressed Rep. Raskin on the claim that Republicans sought pardons after January 6, and whether they had any evidence.
“How many of your colleagues in Congress did that? And what evidence do you have?” Bash asked Rep. Raskin. “Because you know that Congressman Scott Perry is denying it.”
“Yes,” Raskin responded. “Well, the seeking of pardons is a powerful demonstration of the consciousness of guilt, or at least the consciousness that you may be in trouble. And that’s what’s so shocking about this. It’s not just one. It’s —”
But Bash stopped Raskin’s incoherent rambling and squirming, interjecting, “And you have evidence that has happened?”
Rep. Raskin was completely incapable of answering the question, though.
He simply refused to respond in anything other than gibberish, while claiming that “in due course” the evidence “will surface.”
“So, yes, there’s evidence?” Bash followed up, all-but forcing the Congressman to give a straight answer.
But even after all these opportunities to just say “yes” if you have the evidence, Rep. Raskin still couldn’t bring himself to say they had even a shred of evidence.
“Everything that we’re doing is based on facts and this is a bipartisan investigation, which is determined to ferret out all of the facts of what happened,” Raskin exclaimed as his eyes bulged out of his head.
Democrats like Rep. Jamie Raskin can yell that “everything” they’re doing and saying is based solely on facts until they’re blue in the face.
We all know that, as far as the Left is concerned, the facts are what they make them.
And that’s exactly the mentality the January 6 Commission is bringing to their so-called “investigation.”
