The mainstream media can’t stop fawning over Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.

From newspaper writers to TV anchors, members of the media are heaping non-stop praise on the newly-minted Democrat candidates.

And this Washington Post columnist just made some ridiculous claims about Kamala Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff.

Columnist claims Emhoff is a “sex symbol”

When John F. Kennedy was President, many Americans admired his youthful and handsome looks.

Today it appears that the Left is giddy over a new man in politics: Kamala Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff.

According to Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell, Emhoff is the type of “progressive sex symbol” that modern-day American women want.

“Move over, Ryan Gosling. The modern female fantasy is embodied by the man who might soon become our First Gentleman,” she wrote.

Rampell said Emhoff is “smitten with his wife and supports her ambitions, as is obvious from his convention speech and their sweet interactions on the campaign trail.”

Perhaps the most cringe-worthy is when she wrote that “most important for this sexy sobriquet: Emhoff is secure enough with his own masculinity to sometimes prioritize his wife’s ambitions over his own.”

“What. A. Hunk,” she added.

However, what Rampell failed to mention is how Emhoff recently admitted to having an affair with his children’s nanny, which ended his first marriage to Kerstin Emhoff.

Instead of addressing the adultery story, Rampell brushes it off by writing that “whatever his previous marital drama, that makes him the working woman’s ideal partner today.”

She also called him a “high-achieving alpha” who isn’t threatened “if his wife is, too.”

The entire article is dripping with sickly sweet praise and compliments for the potential First Gentleman.

“He loves his job, but he loves his wife more,” she wrote.

Despite Rampell’s opinion, how does anyone know that these claims are factual?

How can a singular newspaper columnist know exactly what goes on behind the scenes of this marriage?

Or how can they know how Emhoff genuinely feels about his wife running for President of the United States?

CNN gets in on the action

It isn’t just the Washington Post that is drooling over Doug Emhoff’s newfound fame.

Even CNN anchor Dana Bash said Democrats are attempting to appeal to men who may not be as masculine as male Republicans.

She said Democrats are “trying to put forward male figures, Tim Walz being one of them, Doug Emhoff last night, who can speak to men out there who might not be the sort of testosterone-laden, you know, gun-toting kind of guy who wants to listen to Hulk Hogan and the kind of players that came out at the RNC or might want to listen to that.”

During an appearance on Pablo Torres’ podcast, ESPN analyst Mina Kimes also recently mentioned Tim Walz by noting that he exudes a “different kind of masculinity.”

She emphasized that Walz “also ran the gay-straight alliance at the high school,” before adding that “there are very few models like that in American public life.”
