Kamala Harris thought she nailed her campaign rollout.
But then her pick for a running mate started to backfire instantly.
And Tim Walz created one bad problem for Kamala Harris that she will hate.
Kamala Harris has a big border problem
Vice President Kamala Harris is running scared from her record as President Joe Biden’s “Border Czar.”
Democrats and their media allies are in the middle of a massive gaslighting campaign to try and convince voters that she was never Biden’s Border Czar.
Harris knows that the border crisis is a serious political liability for her.
After more than 11 million illegal aliens entered the country during the Biden-Harris administration, polls show it’s one of the top issues for voters this election.
That’s why she’s trying to shed her image as a far-Left San Francisco Democrat to portray herself as a tough prosecutor.
One of the first campaign ads she ran touted her desire to hire more Border Patrol agents and beef up border security.
But Harris ran for President in 2020 by promising to decriminalize illegal border crossings, grant mass amnesty to illegal aliens, and dismantle virtually every border security measure.
She’s hoping in a short campaign with a friendly media that she can avoid any serious scrutiny about her support for open borders.
But she created a credibility problem for herself with her Vice Presidential pick.
Tim Walz is an open borders extremist
Harris tapped Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be her running mate.
The media is calling him America’s dad and portraying him as a moderate Democrat from the heartland.
But he has a long track record of support for illegal aliens.
Walz signed a bill into law that allowed illegal aliens in Minnesota to get driver’s licenses.
“Ensuring drivers in our state are licensed and carry insurance makes the roads safer for all Minnesotans,” Walz said in a 2023 bill signing ceremony. “As a longtime supporter of this bill, I am proud to finally sign it into law, making our roads safer and moving us toward our goal of making Minnesota the best state to raise a family for everyone.”
He also signed a bill into law that made Minnesota a sanctuary state.
And he was ready to give taxpayer-funded freebies to illegal aliens.
Walz signed legislation that made illegal aliens eligible for free college tuition and taxpayer-funded healthcare through the state’s MinnesotaCare program.
He sent a letter to Congress in 2021 endorsing amnesty for illegal aliens.
The idea of trying to secure the border was something to be mocked by Walz.
He called former President Donald Trump’s border wall “ridiculous” and boasted about giving ladders to illegal aliens in order to help them get over it.
“I always say, ‘Let me know how high it is.’ If it’s 25 feet, then I’ll invest in a 30-foot-ladder factory. That’s not how you stop this,” Walz said.
With its plethora of freebies and sanctuary status, Minnesota became a magnet for illegal aliens.
25% of all ISIS recruits from the United States came from Minnesota.
The Harris-Walz ticket is going to pay lip service to the idea of securing the border to get elected.
Neither of them has any credibility about the border after they spent their political careers championing illegal immigration.
