Top Gun: Maverick 2 could be coming soon to a theater near you and it’s triggering the woke mob

It’s getting more and more difficult to find anything worth watching at the cinema these days.

Hollywood executives seem more concerned with checking social justice checkboxes than they do producing compelling stories.

But now, hints are starting to leak about a sequel to a massive Tom Cruise hit that pleased audiences and broke records with a pro-America message and no wokeism in sight.

Pro-America movies taking flight

Top Gun: Maverick was a fun, nostalgic romp, with an interesting plot and captivating characters.

It also had a pro-American message.

The Left would have preferred if Rooster – who was the storyline child of Goose from the original, played by Anthony Edwards, and Mrs. Goose, played by Meg Ryan – was somehow transitioned to represent some supposedly “oppressed group.”

And they would have rewarded the movie with a standing ovation had Lt. Pete “Maverick” Mitchell ripped off the Taiwanese patch on his bomber jacket and helped Iran outsmart the U.S. military.

But instead, there was no social justice box checking nor a hint of any woke preaching.

And yet the sequel to the 1986 smash hit “had a need for speed” all the way to the top of the charts.

Top Gun: Maverick is still breaking box office records – surpassing $715 million domestically and nearly $1.5 billion globally – the 12th highest grossing film of all-time and the highest grossing of any movie since COVID-19 hit.

And it accomplished the feat despite a ban in China.

The numbers prove there is a large audience in the United States thirsty for non-woke, pro-American movies.

And another movie fitting that description may be in the pipeline – and that’s giving the blue checkmarks on Twitter fits – as they’d much rather see Lightyear 2, with more lesbian kissing this time, getting green lit.

More to Maverick’s story?

Top Gun: Maverick proved there was a huge market for non-woke movies, becoming one of the biggest hits of all time.

Now the director is hinting a sequel could be in the works.

During a panel at the perfectly snobbish-named Los Angeles Culture Festival Celebrating Music, Art and Food (or LA3C Festival), Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski suggested Maverick’s story isn’t quite over and a sequel could be in the works.

“Is there another story that is compelling enough that we need to go back,” Kosinski asked. “It seems to me at the end of this film that Maverick has some gas left in the tank. He’s not settling down.”

Back in July, the man who played Rooster in the Top Gun sequel, Miles Teller, said he is in talks with Maverick star Tom Cruise about a third Top Gun movie.

“That [a sequel] would be great, but that’s all up to TC [Tom Cruise],” Teller said. “It’s all up to Tom. I’ve been having some conversations with him about it. We’ll see.”

While Americans aren’t losing that loving feeling about a possible Top Gun trilogy – the radicals on the Left will just have to wait with bated breath for the all-female Space Jam remake starring Brittney Griner and Bugs Bunny in drag.
