Donald Trump has been indicted after weeks of suspense
A Manhattan grand jury destroyed political norms by voting to indict Donald Trump. The charges stem from an alleged relationship he had with adult film star Stormy Daniels. The District Attorney handling the grand jury is under fire for what seems to be politically-motivated charges.
Donald Trump has been slamming the actions of the radical prosecutor and calling for his base to protest the obviously crooked situation. Trump initially expected he would be arrested on Tuesday, March 21, and personally promoted the rumor.
But the day finally arrived and Donald Trump did something that shocked political commentators.
Trump raised millions in less than a day following indictment
In response to Alvin Bragg’s indictment of Donald Trump, the former President raised over $4 million in just 24 hours. The average donation was $34 and he collected donations from over 115,000 individuals. What’s even more shocking is that over 25% of those donations came from new donors.
Trump’s campaign said “this incredible surge of grassroots contributions confirms that the American people see the indictment of President Trump as a disgraceful weaponization of our justice system by a Soros-funded prosecutor.”
Donald Trump did incredibly well with smaller individual donations in previous campaign cycles. However, his campaign said this was a special achievement. This is a message to the radical Left and establishment RINOs that Trump is “the clear frontrunner in the Republican primary.”
The former President also issued a personal statement going after Bragg’s record and Biden’s involvement.
Trump claims Bragg is “doing Joe Biden’s dirty work”
Trump called Bragg a “hand-picked” District Attorney who was “funded by George Soros.” He slammed him for choosing to prosecute a former President “rather than stopping the unprecedented crime wave taking over New York City.”
He said while Bragg is “doing Joe Biden’s dirty work,” he is “ignoring the murders and the burglaries and assaults” that are happening to the citizens of New York City. He said that he believes “this Witch-Hunt will backfire massively on Joe Biden.”
Trump went on to claim that this was all backed by the Democrats as a way to cheat their way into power. First by “spying on [his] campaign,” then by moving on to “weaponizing our justice system.” He repeated the charge that “never before in our Nation’s history has this been done.”
Trump pledges to “defeat” Alvin Bragg and “Crooked Democrats”
The former President wasn’t without his normal confidence. He said that he believes “the American people realize exactly what the Radical Left Democrats are doing here. Everyone can see it.” He promised that his supporters would be “united and strong.”
He pledged that he would “first defeat Alvin Bragg” and then move on to defeat Joe Biden and “every last one of these Crooked Democrats” in 2024.
