Even though the Presidential primaries have not yet begun, a Donald Trump versus Joe Biden rematch seems inevitable in 2024.
The 2020 elections were expensive and vicious, but many political experts believe things could get much more intense next year.
And Trump supporters were furious after Joe Biden made this eye-popping remark.
American politics is more divided than any other time in recent memory
As it stands, American politics is more divided than at any other time in recent memory.
Joe Biden and his cronies have worked tirelessly to paint Donald Trump and his supporters as criminals and thugs, causing the former President to fire back.
With the first Primary elections just around the corner, both Donald Trump and Joe Biden are hot on the campaign trail.
At a recent rally in New Hampshire, Donald Trump told a braying crowd that he would “root out the communists, Marxists, fascists, and the radical Left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country that lie and steal and cheat on elections.”
On Tuesday, Joe Biden responded to these remarks at a fundraiser in San Francisco by saying that “in just the last few days, Trump has said if he returns to office, he’s gonna go after all those who oppose him and wipe out what he called the ‘vermin in America’… it echoes language you heard in Nazi Germany in the 30s. It isn’t even the first time.”
He added that “Trump also recently talked about, ‘The blood of America is being poisoned’ … Again, echoes the same phrases used in Nazi Germany.”
However, this is not the first time that Joe Biden or his allies have likened Donald Trump and his supporters to Nazis.
Steven Cheung, a Trump campaign spokesman, rejected these comparisons by saying that “those who try to make that ridiculous assertion are clearly snowflakes grasping for anything because they are suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome and their sad, miserable existence will be crushed when President Trump returns to the White House.”
Joe Biden and his campaign team have not yet replied to this retort, nor are they expected to.
Referring to an opponent as a Nazi is about as extreme as it gets in American politics, however, one can expect more attacks like this one with the 2024 elections still almost a year out.
What these attacks reveal about Joe Biden and his campaign
Just about every poll reveals that a Donald Trump vs. Joe Biden rematch is inevitable.
Polls have also begun to tilt against Joe Biden in favor of Donald Trump, which may be the reason for the increased attacks.
With the General Election still a year out, voters should expect these types of attacks to intensify.
In addition to the Presidential elections, there are a number of highly contentious Senate races that will also add fuel to the fire.
