The most popular phrase in the Democrat Party and the media establishment is “democracy.”

Regardless of public support, they use it to justify any action they take at home and abroad.

And Tucker Carlson explained how a war for democracy is becoming the catalyst for dictatorship.

Tucker Carlson warns not to be fooled by the claim we are “fighting for democracy” in Ukraine

Democrat politicians and neocon Republicans are the first to tell Americans that a win for Ukraine is crucial to securing “democracy.” They want people to believe that America will be the next domino to fall unless lawmakers continue to pour money into the eastern European country.

Now Tucker Carlson is pushing back on this narrative in his latest Tucker on Twitter segment. He said that politicians like Pelosi want the people to believe that “the Ukrainian people are fighting the fight for their democracy, and for ours as well.”

“Without Ukrainian democracy, in other words, we can have no democracy here. If the Ukrainians aren’t free, neither are we. We must make sure they can vote in Kyiv so we can continue to vote in Kansas City,” he said, invoking the illogical stance that the war in Europe is necessary to America’s future.

However, as Tucker Carlson pointed out, democracy is not guaranteed under Zelensky.

Zelensky: There will be no election in 2024 unless Ukraine wins in the war against Russia

Carlson reviewed footage of Zelensky discussing the future of his country at a press conference.  In the video, Zelensky was asked by a reporter if there would be elections next year in Ukraine. The answer from Zelensky was nothing short of ominous.

“This is a global question,” Zelensky told the reporter, implying that democracy around the world is at stake. “If we win, there will be,” he said, before adding that elections are impossible during war. “Elections should be held in peacetime, when there is no war,” Zelensky said.

Carlson responded to the comments made by Zelensky by saying that the Ukrainian President believes it’s “your job to obey or be punished.” He slammed America’s “chief ally in the war for democracy” for suggesting that “he’s likely to cancel next year’s elections.”

Carlson said this “blew up our entire rationale for supporting his side in the war.”

Carlson: No one should be “shocked” that the war will “cancel democracy in the process”

“So to recap, we are currently fighting a war for democracy on behalf of a leader who just casually announced he’s happy to end democracy, and our democracy-supporting leaders have no problem with that,” Carlson said. “In fact. they’re strongly for it.”

He said that no one should be “shocked by this,” but rather “you should have seen this coming.” He said lawmakers around the world knew this would happen. “Wars for Democracy always cancel democracy in the process. That’s why our leaders love them,” Carlson said.

Under the guise of a war for democracy, Carlson said Zelensky had effectively seized churches, arrested priests, banned all criticism of his regime, and even eliminated political opponents. He pointed to the arrest of American journalist Gonzalo Lira as a prime example.

Carlson urged his audience not to let “demagogues” change what they see and warned them that “war means power.”
