The Durham Report made it clear that Donald Trump was the target of a major political attack.

Hillary Clinton worked with intelligence agencies to do everything she could to take Trump down.

But two Republicans are fighting to expunge Trump’s impeachment charges and wipe his record clean.

Trump’s Presidency was under constant attack by the radical Left from the outset of his administration

Donald Trump’s time as President was marred by what he called the “greatest witch-hunt of all time.” Democrats pushed a false narrative that Trump won his 2016 election with the help of the Russian government and claimed that he partnered directly with Putin.

When Democrats failed to prove that he cheated his way to the Presidency, they moved forward with the next plan, which was to impeach him. They said that Trump was abusing power by investigating former Vice President Joe Biden for claims he made about withholding loan guarantees in Ukraine.

Democrats failed again to prove Trump’s handling of the investigation was an impeachable offense, but the lengthy process impeded his ability to govern. Even after Joe Biden was elected President, Democrats still pushed on Trump and impeached him for a second time to try and prevent him from running again in 2024.

But now some House Republicans are looking to make things right for Trump.

Two Republicans have introduced resolutions to “correct the record” on Trump’s impeachments

New York Representative Elise Stefanik and Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced resolutions last week to expunge Trump’s impeachment charges and wipe his record clean. Their proposals suggest that the impeachments were unconstitutional and should be cleared.

Greene’s resolution targeted the 2019 abuse of power charges that were laid against Trump over a phone call with the Ukrainian leader, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. She said the facts surrounding Trump’s first impeachment “did not meet the burden of proving the commission of high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Greene included evidence from an FBI informant that Joe Biden had been involved in a bribery scheme to oust a prosecutor in Ukraine. She said that the evidence “vindicates President Trump and exposes the crimes of the Biden family.”

Greene said she was proud to be working with Stefanik to “correct the record” and clear Trump’s name.

Stefanik: It’s “past time” to stop the Left’s unprecedented political attack against Republicans

Stefanik’s resolution is built around the impeachment charges that were brought against Trump following what the Democrats labeled an “insurrection.” She said there was no evidence to support this charge because it was built on the “subjective account” of Democrat lawmakers.

She said that “the American people know Democrats weaponized the power impeachment against President Donald Trump to advance their own extreme political agenda.” She said that it was important for her and other lawmakers to stand up against the Left.

Stefanik said that she was proud to have fought to stop the “blatant attempt” by Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff “to shred the Constitution.” She said even though Trump was “rightfully acquitted,” that it was “past time to expunge Democrats’ sham smear” against him and his supporters.
