Over the past couple of decades, the Republican Party has changed dramatically.
Conservatives are fed up with establishment sellouts like George Bush, John McCain, and Mitt Romney, who did very little to advance conservativism.
And what Dick Cheney just said about Donald Trump left conservatives red with rage.
Why conservatives are fed up with establishment RINOs
For decades, the Republican Party did basically nothing to fight back against the radical Left.
So-called “Republican” politicians such as John McCain and Mitt Romney were nothing more than moderate Democrats at the end of the day.
Nobody had the guts to stand up to the far-left, that is, until Donald Trump arrived.
Donald Trump was the first Republican President since Ronald Reagan, who actually spoke his mind, and who followed through on his campaign promises.
The border was secured, the Supreme Court was filled with three solid conservative justices, the economy was booming, and America stood tall on the international stage.
Naturally, this infuriated those establishment Republicans who were never able to achieve any of these things.
One such Republican is Dick Cheney, who has arguably contributed nothing helpful to the conservative cause during his life-long career in politics.
And in a fit of rage, Cheney claimed that “In our nation’s 246-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump.”
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
Cheney went on to say, “He’s a coward, a real man wouldn’t lie to his supporters. He lost the election and he lost big. I know it, he knows it. And deep down, I think most Republicans know it.”
Dick Cheney is angry because Trump is making him look like a loser
At the end of the day, Dick Cheney, and the entire Cheney family for that matter are complete outcasts in conservative politics.
Dick Cheney has largely been forgotten about, and his daughter Liz Cheney is one of the most hated people in politics.
Not even her own constituents (which is the entire state of Wyoming given that Wyoming has just one Representative) like her.
In just four years, Donald Trump did more than George Bush and Dick Cheney ever did in eight.
The fact is, Dick Cheney will go down in history as one of America’s most forgettable Vice Presidents, which is saying something.
And to call Donald Trump the biggest threat to the republic is flat-out false and ridiculous.
You would expect a so-called “conservative” to raise the alarm of the militant far-left who are grooming children and tearing this nation apart.
Instead, he attacks Trump, which shows you that he does not care about this nation or his party.
The time is long overdue to put the entire Cheney family in the rearview mirror and allow them to be forgotten.
It will be interesting to see how badly Liz Cheney loses in Wyoming, but in her own Father’s words, she will probably “lose big” if polls are any measure of her failure.
